Spinel x child reader (fluff)

Here's something that just came out of my mind.

~ no one's POV ~

Today was a normal day for the crystal gems and Steven. After having a message from the diamonds saying Spinel was going to spend a few days while they attend their colony's. Steven was watching (Y/n) playing with her black bunny with a upside down heart on it. Then Steven heard the warp pad. " Steeeeveen! I'ma here!"

Steven got up and told (Y/n) " stay here. I got to do something, ok?" As (Y/n) just gives him thumbs up, since she can't speak yet. Steven nodded and went up stairs to greet Spinel. " Hi, Spinel! Sorry for the long wait I had do something." " And what was that?" Spinel asked. " Oh, I was babysitting (M/n)'s child" Spinel gasped. " You were sitting'n on a baby?!?!"

" Oh, no, no, no, no. What I meant was that I am watching (M/n) child. Do you want to go see her?" Steven asked. Spinel looked puzzled. " U-um sure" " great! They're in the living room now. I'll take you to them!" Grabbing Spinel hand and walked over to the living room as (Y/n) was still playing with her toy.

~ (Y/n) POV ~

Today's I was playings with my toy at Stevens house! When's Steven askeds " stay here. I got to do something, ok?" He asked me and I just gave him a bigs thumb up because I can't talks. Then Steven nodded and went up stairs. ' I wonder what's he doings.' I thought to myself as I hear another voice from where Steven went.

' hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybes Connie over but I would have seen them' but I shrugged it off and went back to playing with my toy. Then Steven came down stairs with an unfamiliar face. She was all different hues of pink. She had ragged pigtails, her clothes looked sharp a little bit, and she has three streaks of black mascara on that made her look like she was crying all the time. But she did look nice though. Steven walked over to me, picked me up, and walk us over to the stranger.

" Spinel, this is (Y/n). Say hi (Y/n)." Steven told, I guess Spinel. I waved hi to her because again, can't talk yet. " Um, why isn't she talking" Spinel asked. Steven looked at me and laughed." Oh, right, forgot. (Y/n) can't talk yet, she's to little." Spinel sighed in relief. " Oh. Good, I thought didn't like me or somethin'." " Well spinel, since your here...... Do want to watch (Y/n) with me?"

Spinel thought for a moment than answered " yeah, I think it'll be fun!" Woohoo! All right! Now I kinda need to teach you how to take care of a child" Steven said putting me down. As Steven went to his room to get a book for spinel to learn about kids. Then spinel looked at me and put her hand in front of my face. " Heya...there kid?" I looked at her hand and grabbed it, gently. She flinched a bit before calming down, watching me look at her hand. It was huge! it was the size of my head! Or even more!

~ Spinel's POV~

As I put my hand in front of (Y/n), I asked her. " Heya...there kid?" Then, all of  a sudden she grabbed my hand gently, which made me flinched. I watched her looking at my hand in wonder. Then she got my hand and put it on her head. ' wow. Her hair is really soft.' then she left it on her head.

She looked at me with those big (e/c) eyes. " Do....ya want me to pet you?" I asked her as she gave me a thumbs up. I petted her head and she seems to enjoy it. I move closer to her and put her on my lap. She put her head on my chest which I didn't mind.

Then I saw her chest rising slowly. ' I wonder what's she's doin'. Maybe I'll ask Steven later.' I thought to myself as I continue to pet her hair.

A few minutes later Steven came out with a book. " Ok I got the-" he paused when he saw us. " Is there somethin' wrong Steven?" I asked him. " Oh. My. God...... You two are so cuutte!!!" Steven said with stars in his eyes. " Um, Steven may I ask what she is doin'?" " Oh! She sleeping don't worry." I sigh in relief. " Well I got the book, but it looks like you kinda already got it. Do you want to try carrying (Y/n)?"

" Hmmm sure" I said as Steven carefully instructed how to how a child. "... Ok and that will be it. Now, try and hold her." I look down at (y/n) and hesitantly, hold her in my arms bridal style. She yawns in the cutest way possible and snuggle deeper into my chest. " Awwww see...she loves you!" Steven whispers as I rock her slowly. " Love ya (Y/n)" I say to her. " Luve yous too spiny" (y/n) said in the most softest voice.
