Monday Morning

Petra POV

As I woke up to sunlight from my window. The events from last night hit me like a truck. I felt something was clawing at my heart and begging to come out. I walked out of my room to the kitchen and found a note from May.

'Penny, I left for work early so I could get off earlier to be able to spend the rest of the day with you. I already told Neddy and MJ also your teachers that you wouldn't be going to school today.
Lard you-May'

I smiled as I read the note, but knowing the hospital they'll make her do the night shift. I put on my suit and went out around Queens. I didn't feel like staying home or lying I am too exhausted too. All day was slow so I went to the west side.

I was fighting some gangster wannabes, they seem to have more and more of these people. I felt a strong punch from one of them, but I barely felt it so I grabbed the man's fist and made punch himself.

"God do you not have anything better to do?!" I groaned as I look at them bored they  got up from the ground and started charging at me.

As I webbed them up one escaped. I called the cops then went to follow the man that got away. I swung around town and to an abandoned storm drain.

Then a gun was pointed at me. I jumped in surprise and started to move my hands up.

"That was risky Spider." Eddie Brock a reporter and we met during my first few months as Spider-Man.

"Eddie they were getting on to you. If I wasn't there they would have figured it out then killed you." I pulled out a chocolate bar as Eddie put the gun down.

"Thanks...sorry about hurting you again." He landed a good punch to my face earlier.

"I'm fine...I just...never mind...bye Mr. Brock." with that I was walking to the same way I came.

"Spider-Man, wait! You don't seem to be alright. I know those guys did a number on you, but-"

I cut him off as I turned back to him.

"What if....What if something happened a long time ago, but...it still seems to haunt you?" I could tell he was shocked for my question, but his face then turned soft.

"Shit happens. But I don't think I'm the best person to talk to about these things." He scratched his head and looked back at me.

I nodded and looked down.

"But." I looked back up to him, "Your life doesn't need to defined by it. It's your life!" He put his hand on my shoulder. " I'm not expert, but that's what I think." He grinned.

I sighed.

"Thank you Mr. Brock. I'll see you soon. Try to get info on this gang I have a feeling they are planning an attack." I was turned around and started walking through the front entrance, "Bye Mr. Brock!" I waved good bye having my back turned to him.

"Bye kid!" Eddie said as I had it to the outside sun filled air.

As I swung away, I went back to Queens doing my patrol. As I rested on one of ledges staring at the city I heard a rocket like sound coming from behind me. I knew that sound it is from Mr. Starks suits.

I heard the familiar clack on metal land on the ground. I turned to him, the suit glimmered from the setting sun. I was lucky that he didn't talk to me or noticed me as Petra Parker.

Which was a major blessing in disguise for me. His helmet retracted back relieving his face and walked closer to me.

"Hey Underoos." He said in his usual tone.
