~Chapter 12~

Start of school- still 2nd year

I wonder what draco would say? I haven't written a reply to him yet because i wasn't allowed to use the owl without permission.

Up ahead, i saw him with crabbe and Goyle

"Draco! Draco!" I called to him, but he didn't seem to notice me, or was he ignoring me?

On the Hogwarts express

"Draco!" I said flinging open his carriage door "I'm sorry i didn't write back"

"Scarlett, my mother told me about our parents being enemies, its best if we're not together" he said

"My mother told me..." but then i stopped. Wait, did i actually hear that right?
"I didn't get to read the whole letter, and now you telling me in that last part was..."

"Yeah" draco looked down as his friends started to smirk and whusper to each other "i told you already, i like you Scarlett"

I was about to explode with happiness. Draco. Malfoy. Had. Asked. Me. Out!!!!

"Yes!" I cried "i uhh... like you too draco" but draco didn't look too happy

"Can we talk about this later please Scarlett?" He asked

"Oh uhh sure" did draco like me anymore? "but i still need somewhere to sit".

A few days later; at night

"Hey draco"

"Hi Scarlett"

We decided to meet up near the forbidden forest to talk.

"Sooo uhh, you asked me to be your... you know..." i said "gf"

"Yeah I did, what would you have said?"

"What do you mean by would?" I was getting confused

"Well, do you know the story off our parents being enemies?" He asked

"Yes"

"Well... we're not allowed to date because of that"

"Wait, what?!" so that's what my mother meant by 'you can't'!

"But draco!" I knew it wasn't his fault but it was definitely unfair "i like you"

Just then we heard something, someone knocking on a door.

"There!" I whispered pointing to the golden trio, they were knocking on Hagrid's door

"How'd they get pass us?" Draco asked

"The invisibility cloak" i muttered

"Why do they even get an invisibility cloak?" Draco complained "i told you, Dumbledore was the worst thing that happened to this place

"Draco, don't say that!" I gave him a playful push

We silently watched potter and hus friends talk with hagrid for a while until draco got up

"Draco?" I questioned

"Aren't you wondering about what they're saying?" He asked

"Yeah, i am" so we crept to the window of Hagrid's hut

"The... chamber of secrets" i heard granger say. They were trying to get hagrid to confess something.

"Boring" draco pretend-yawned "they think that hagrid let a giant snake in the school, do they think someone like... that could do such a crime?" He laughed "come on Scarlett"

I wanted to listen to the golden trio more but i just followed draco.

That night, i couldn't sleep. I was so close to dating draco but now i couldn't.
