Chapter Five New On The Job Part 1
(Tammy's power of voice)
I just started my new job with my dad, mom, and Mark. I am Marks personal secretary. Boy is mom glad about that. She had to work for both Mark and dad and did they keep her hopping.
(Thinking Back)
It was so exciting. I got to be with my family and one of my most favorite people of all time, my dad's partner Mark. We have been good friends since my dad and he started working together. I always liked him. I thought of him as the brother I never had. I started noticing he had a hard time talking to me when I got older though. I started wondering, "Did I make him mad or upset him in some way." But when they all moved down here and they asked me to be his Secretary I thought "Everything must be okay." I was just totally confused.
(Back to the present)
Well my first day has been going really well so far. A little later a guy came into the office with the most beautiful Grecian vase full of roses the depest red I have ever seen. He looked at my mom then me and asked: "Which one of you ladies is Tammy Kenmore?"
I raised my hand. He walked over to me, handed me a clipboard to sign and after I signed for the flowers he left them along with a card.
My mom looked at me with a smirk on her face. She said; "Maybe Jackson's feeling some remorse about the way he treated you." I just shrugged my shoulders then opened and started to read the card.
