Marinette It's been five years since I fled my home country, China. If you don't know already I am the princess of China, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Me and my best friend/bodyguard, Nino, moved to Paris to keep me safe. Not only did I leave my mom and dad behind but my twin brother and friends. Ok, back to the present. I woke up late, as usual, but today was different I could feel it. When I got up it saw that it was 7:20. Guess I didn't wake up late today, but early. I decided to wear something different today.

I left my hair down but kept my bangs back, with the ends curly. I slipped on heel/sandals and headed to school. When I got there I heard people whispering around me. "Who she?" "I didn't know we got a new kid!" "She's hot" "You have a girlfriend Kim!" "Ow! I know" I smiled. Nino recognized me and walked over. "Hey dudette! You look great!" He said while giving me a hug. "Thanks Nino." I started to speak Japanese. "Have you heard anything about going home?" I asked hopping that he has. "Sorry princess, I haven't. But I did get word that Martin was recovered and has been returned safely. Your parents were over joyed." He said smiling. I felt myself tear up. I put my hands over my eyes trying, and failing, to keep them in. "He's ok?" "He's ok" I jumped into his arms and started to cry. "HEY GET AWAY FROM MY BOYFRIEND!!" I turned around to see Alya and Adrien running up to us. Alya didn't even notice it was me till she had thrown me on the ground. And started to scream at me. When I tried to get up she pushed me back down. I felt the wind get knocked out of me. I stared at the sky trying to regain my breath, but nothing came in. I felt someone before over me and shake my shoulder. I heard a voice to the left calling my name but I couldn't recognize it. "Can't....breath......in....my.......bag......" I said in chinese. I heard rustling and then something put into my mouth. I was struggling to swallow it but I got it down and my breath returned to my lungs. I slowly sat up and felt Nino balance me out. I was upset that Alya would do that but I was so overjoyed that Martin was safe I placed a cheesy smile on my face instead. "Mari are you ok?" Nino asked I just slowly nodded my head and stood up. I walked over to the wall and leaned against it. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. "Mari I'm so sorry. I thought you were a stranger trying to hit on Nino. Please forgive me." Alya begged. "It's ok Alya, I get it. Besides nothing can ruin my mood today." I did a quick glance at Nino and smiled. He walked over and hugged me. "Mari you look great. Alya and Adrien said at the same time. "Thanks." We walked to class and I still got strange looks from people. When we got to the class everyone stopped talking and stared at me. I slightly shifted from foot to foot and walked to my seat. I pulled out my sketch book and drew a picture of Martin and me before everything happened. I frowned when I finished. I drew the scare on my arms and legs into the picture. I felt someone standing behind me and closed my book fast. I turned and saw Kim and Alix standing there. "Hey guys, need anything?" "We just wanted to tell you that you look amazing and your hair looks awesome." They said "Thaaanks" They nodded and walked off. That was weird. I pulled out my phone and texted Adrien.

M-Hey A-Hey M-Why is everyone acting weird around me? A- Weeeellll, no one is use to you wearing a short dress, much less a dress at all. And your hair is down instead of in it's usual pigtails. BTW you look amazing!!! Did you design it yourself? M-Thanks Adrien...That means a lot....umm yeah I did design it.
"Marinette, Adrien please put your phones away. We are about to start class." Mrs. B said I shoved my phone into my pocket and sighed. That could have been bad.
After class everyone left, I saw Nino stay behind. I walked over to him and saw him on the phone. "Are you sure it's ok for her to return?" He said in chinese. I stood there speechless. Dose he mean? He can't be saying... "I will let her know. How is Martin?.....Good, she will be happy to hear that. I will let the Princess know.....Thank you....By." "Nino please tell me that's it's safe." "Well, your highness it is safe to return to China. The assassin has been caught, Martin is healing and is looking forward to seeing you. James, John, Tessa, and Leah are exited to see you too." I jumped into him and hugged him. I'm can go home, I can see Martin, I can see my friends. I pulled away and walked out, with Nino close behind me. We didn't know that we weren't alone.

I left the class and was waiting for Nino outside when I heard him talking in Chinese. That's new.
"I will let her know. How is Martin?.....Good, she will be happy to hear that. I will let the Princess know.....Thank you....By." "Nino please tell me that's it's safe." "Well, your highness it is safe to return to China. The assassin has been caught, Martin is healing and is looking forward to seeing you. James, John, Tessa, and Leah are exited to see you too. Mari I am so happy for you!" Why the heck is it safe for Mari to return to China, she lived here all her life. I heard them walking out the door I hide behind a pole and watched as they walked away. There is something they aren't telling us.
