Two months later

Nathan POV

I sat at the bar drinking my life away , she's gone ,she's gone , that's all I could think of, my only friend, sister  and mother was gone no matter how anyone tried to console me I still couldn't get a grip of myself, I'm nothing without her , nothing  , I was slowly drowning in my thoughts when I saw Simi bringing in sleeping Graham he was looking so peaceful in her arms , she probably didn't notice me, I suppose she went to drop him in his room.

It's a good thing that she looked after Graham , I didn't want him to see me in this state , I don't want him thinking his dad is weakling.

She gently came down the stairs tiptoing in order not to make a sound .

"Simi" her name escaped my lips .

She jumped a little with her hands clasped on her chest .

"Sorry didn't mean to scare , care for a drink"

"No thanks"  she said with a faint smile

Was it me or we're her eyes glowing in this poorly lighted room .

"Simi I need you " I said staring into those dark chocolate eyes which were in shock .

"Sorry?" she said quite taken aback.

"I need you_ to take care of Graham for me "

"It's no problem , besides he's a great kid and fun to be with so it no problem "

I simply nodded

"But for how long will he staying with me?" she questioned .

"Dammit !! Simi i don't need you to babysit my son , I need you to be his mother , my mo_ , my mom trusted you, so tell me I'm ready to pay any amount "

She looked shocked , my gaze never left her for a second

"Let's say nine million , would you pay that much" she said jokingly

"Double"

She probably noticed the seriousness in my voice and suddenly became nervous and using her foot to draw circles on the ground.

" I think you've had too much drink"

" Do I look drunk to you? I'm perfectly fine , Simi I need your answer right, here right now".

Two days later

Simi POV

" Young lady have you gone crazy , Deji I'm sorry , you Left me with your daughter, my grandchild and I couldn't even take good care of her, I'm sorry" my grandma said crying loudly , I tried all my best to calm her down .

" I did this for you, for us do you think I'll be happy if you didn't have a roof over your head, I love you mama and I'll do anything for you " I said calmly , trying to hold back my tears.

" My child I should be the one sacrificing to make you happy not the other way round , simisola , simisola" she said calmly this time while caressing my cheeks.

"Ma, we'll be leaving by tomorrow , I just want to sleep on your thighs today , I want to be close to you mama, before I go, I love you so much , my life is nothing considered to the happiness I want to give you" I said this time with tears flowing freely from my eyes.

"I love you too, I love you too" I heard her whisper as I fell asleep
