A/N: The picture above is what homeroom teacher Hospice looks like!
Arrowwind groaned as she struggled to keep her datapads in her arms. She turned to glare at her brother, but was surprised to see that he was having as much trouble as her for once. A smirk fell to her derma. "That's what you get for being overprepared," she laughed, nudging him with her shoulder plate. The motion jostled her datapads, and she grunted when she felt some of them slipping out of her grasp.
Hornetbee suddenly rushed forward, his servo reaching out and helping her keep them steady. "The new teach really laid it on us thick, don't you think?" he said with a light chuckle, smiling brightly. "You need any help with those?"
Arrowwind smiled back, shaking her helm. "Naw, thanks, though. You have your own pile to carry."
The young scout's smile turned sheepish and he nodded, returning his servo to his own stack to keep it from tipping over. Beside him, Streets was sweeping his optics over everyone who was there, which consisted of Hornetbee, Arrowwind and Tailwind, and himself. Rewind had to leave to speak with her sire, while Wheeler had told them he was expected somewhere. The twins had a curfew, though they hoped their protective Sire would lose the restrictive rules soon enough. Stree Jack kept asking if anyone needed help, but everyone insisted on carrying their own.
Arrowwind was wondering why Hornet had asked if she needed help first when another thought crossed her processor. She turned to her brother, raising an optic ridge. "Are we going to talk about our homeroom teach? I mean, given the fact that he is Grandsire's son and all."
Tailwind suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, groaning loudly. "FINALLY. I was wondering when someone was going to bring that up," he said with a roll of his optics. He picked up his pace again as he continued talking. "I knew Grandsire had a human for a sparkmate, but I was never informed that she got sparked."
Now it was Arrowwind's turn to stop. "You knew he was endura with a human??!" she exclaimed loudly, her mouth agape in surprise. How come she hadn't known?! Ratchet was her grandsire, too, and while she didn't seem to have as close of a relationship with him as Tailwind, she still really cared about the mech! She would have liked to know these things for Primus' sake!
Hornetbee, his pace nearly matching hers as she sped back up, gave her a sympathetic look. "Well, yeah, even I knew that," he told her softly, an apologetic look in his optics.
Street Jack nodded as well. "I heard it from my Sire. Although we never talked much about it, so I more of assumed it was just a rumor going around, since he decided to live on Earth."
Arrowwind frowned, feeling upset. "Why didn't I know this? I mean, I heard the rumor, but I only thought it was a rumor! He's my grandsire, too, why shouldn't I know?!" She turned and frowned heavily at Tailwind.
Her brother did not seem the least bit intimidated regretful of the matter, much to her annoyance. "I asked about her, when I overheard Sire talking about them. They told me the truth about her, but asked me to keep it under wraps. Apparently, they did not want much of the news getting out." He shrugged. "I assumed that you knew."
Arrowwind huffed, slouching her shoulders. "So apparently I have to ask to know important things now," she growled. She knew that it was not a very big deal, at least, not as much as she was trying to make it out to be, and she did not feel so much betrayed as she did annoyed. She would have liked to know.
Tailwind offered her a rare look of apology. "I would have told you if I had known. My apologies."
She sighed, standing up straight and shaking her helm. "Whatever, it's fine. Probably my own fault for being ignorant." The teenage femme hopped a little to keep her stacks from slipping out of her grip.
