Two Heroes and an Unexpected Romance

Chapter 1: The Interaction

The sky had been riddled with darkness as it spread throughout the land. With Dharkon having invaded the realm of light, our fighters have been taken over and are attacking against their will.

There is but one hero to stop them all. Link. But even then, he is having trouble. Where he stands now, he is fighting possessed Marth. He seems to be struggling a bit with this battle, but he has advantages. Everything here was going well, until possessed Meta Knight had entered the fray. With this unfortunate interaction, it is now a two on one. Link quickly dodges, and throws his boomerang at Meta Knight, but misses, and gets the jump on him.

Marth rushes Link with his sword, but Link evades once more. Once Link had stood his ground, the galloping of horse hooves could be heard form the distance. At that moment, Link was too busy fighting to hear it. He had nearly lost hope once both Marth and Meta Knight attack at once. Luckily for Link, a stranger with a sword leaps from his horse and strikes them in the air. Link was shocked at what happened. The mysterious person turned around, and was revealed to be Eleven, aka The Luminary, from Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of the Elusive Age.

From that point on, they were in this battle together to fend off the possessed fighters. Eleven unleashed spells such as Frizzle, Zapple, and Swoosh. He even managed to land an elusive critical hit against Incineroar. Link assisted with detonating bombs and arrows. They were both doing well against the imprisoned fighters. Soon enough, they were out numbered. Possessed fighters appeared one by one, until Link and Eleven were knocked back into a pillar. Hope was nearly lost again. But, as fate would have it, 3 more Heroes appear to aid them in battle. Eight from 8, Solo from 4 and Erdrich from 3. Together, Link and the Heroes had defeated the possessed fighters and put a stop to Dharkon's evil plans. And the light had returned to the Realm of Light.

After the battle was over, Link went over to Eleven and started talking to him
"Hey. You did very good out there. I wasn't sure what I was going to do by myself" he said feeling exhausted
"Thank you. You did pretty good as well. I honestly thought we were goners too. But as luck would have it, our courage and strength in multiple heroes conquered the darkness and reawakened the light"
"Very well said, uh"
"Call me The Luminary. My real name is Eleven if you're curious" he said a little nervous
They continued speaking with each other and walking back to their respective realms. They both talked about their adventures they have embarked in their home universes
"I had fallen asleep for 100 years and woke up to save Hryule, as well as other valleys and cities, from Calamity Ganon"
"Really? Wow. When I figured out I was the reincarnation of The Luminary, I had been deemed The Dark Spawn. I had been thrown in the dungeon of another kingdom. But I escaped with the help of an old friend."
"That sounds, tragic. Isn't The Luminary a...god of some sort?" He said sounding serious
"You can put it that way. He once brought peace to my home village, Cobblestone. He was praised by the city folk ever since. So the legend goes"
"That is interesting. Well I'm glad you turned out like you did" they soon reached the Plato Tower. "I guess this is where we part ways"
Meanwhile Eleven has tripped over a rock.
"Oh my. Let me help you up" and in doing so, Link felt something, familiar about Eleven's appearance. He ended up staring at him for a little bit
"Umm"
"Oh, sorry. I was just, thinking of something. Don't worry about it" he soon helped up Eleven "Again, thank you for the help. I couldn't have done this on my own"
"You are very welcome, Hero of Hyrule"
Although Link has heard many forms of hospitality, this is the first time someone outside of his realm acknowledges him. From this point on, a new friendship has been developed among heroes. But in Link's case, he feels that Eleven may be more than just a friend.
