| HALLOWEEN |

After going to at least 23 different houses, I heard a tiny yawn emit from the little boy standing next to me. As we walked up to another house, I rang the doorbell, and a lady with a soft smile answered the door.

"Trick or treat!" The two little kids I was babysitting managed to yawn out, and I let out a chuckle. "I think it's time for some little ones to go to bed." She said and I grinned, "I think so too." I replied and I picked up the youngest of the two.

Hansel is seven years old and his sister, Gretel, is nine years old. Their parents called me early this morning and asked me if I was willing to watch them, while they go to a Halloween party at a friends house. And of course, I said yes.

I pulled the key to their house out of my pocket, and opened the door, while I helped Gretel carry her big bag of candy inside.

"But I'm not stinky!" Hansel cried out as I began to help him out of his Halloween costume. I shook my head and put his bag of candy up on the kitchen counter.

"I'm sorry, but you have to bathe." I sigh as he continues to give me reasons why he shouldn't bathe. After a few compromises, he agreed to take a bath if he could take a toy with him.

Gretel was already bathed and started to get her littles brothers Pajamas ready for him to put on. I helped Hansel put his pajama shirt on, and he climbed into his bed; Gretel crawled up next to him, "Will you read us a bedtime story, Y/N?" She asked as she let out a yawn.

"Of course." I say as I walk over to the book shelf and scanned through all of the books. I decided to read them "Goodnight Moon".

"Goodnight Stars
Goodnight air
Goodnight noises
Goodnight everywhere."

I closed the book, and sat it on the nightstand and both of the kids were snoring softly. I smiled and picked Gretel up and carried her to her own bedroom and shut the door behind me. I made sure Hansel's night light was on before I shut his door, and I went down the stairs.

I picked up all of the toys that the kids scattered all across the house, and made my way over to the giant bookshelf that they had. I pulled a book from the shelf and looked over at the clock that was sitting on the mantel; I had a few hours until their parents came home, so I made myself comfortable on the couch with my book.

I was half way through my book, when I heard noises by the back door. It sounded like someone was knocking, but it was a quaint type of knock. Setting the book off to the side, I slowly stood up and made my way to the back door.

Slowly opening the door, I was met by a tall man with black hair and soft brown eyes. At first, I didn't really know who it was until I got a good look at him.
"Edward Nygma?" I asked softly and he nodded.

I was surprised, to say in the least. I mean, it's not everyday a handsome, tall, forensic scientist shows up at the door your babysitting at. Ed has been my pen pal for almost a year, and we came very well acquainted through writing each other letters.

He took my hand and pressed a soft kiss to it; almost instantly, I began to blush. Were my eyes deceiving me? Was Edward Nygma actually standing at the back door? "I know my visit was unexpected. I can leave—if you want me to?" He said as I stood there dumbstruck.
