Secrets of the Fold

~Chapter 1~

"Queen Lilly we must act now!"
She stares blankly at her assistant. "I know I must act but I must think before, so I do not mess it up."
  "Rebecca, go tell the council my decision is to strike back against King Levi's army."
She looks at the queen in shock. "Uh, uhm, Yes Madam!" The queen looks out the window to see hundreds of men bustling toward her kingdom.
    What did I do to deserve an attack from King Levi? He was like a brother to me when we were younger.
—Ten Years Ago—
"Lilly, I swear to thee I will not attack your kingdom under any circumstances."
"Levi, I declare the same as you, under no issues may I attack your kingdom."
They both shake hands which signifies that they both agree to the terms. Lilly smiles at Levi, but Lilly noticed he didn't smile back. —Present Day—                                                                                                                                               "Queen Lilly, the council has heard your choice but denies the action due to the agreement!"   Those idiots. "Then tell them that due to this situation, King Levi has broken the seal of the agreement."                                                                                                                                                                                       "Yes Madam!"  The men were about to break through the gate of the kingdom, people must have many desires to have power. From the moment he did not smile back he made me feel as if I made a mistake.                                                                                                                 In this era people make many mistakes. The burden I carry along with me has sealed my worst mistake. I suddenly see all of my army running towards King Levi's men. My assistant runs in with a panicked look on her face.                                                                                                           "Madam! The council men are dead! The knights and peasants took it upon themselves to battle!" Well, council I don't much care for, but my people worries me. "We will need to make a new council, the real problem is if Levi's army wins the battle." Looking out to see the battle, men are dying out there for my sake, and their own.
It was maybe two minutes of silence until I could hear men running towards where I am. "Queen Lilly we must evacuate the building for your sake." Time froze. All that moved was me and my assistant. Rebecca was freaking out, what a squeamish girl. "Calm down, this is our chance Rebecca!"
She looks at me with confusion. "Our chance to get out of here before all hell breaks loose." She looks at me with a bit more courage this time. "Yes Ma'Lady! Right this way!" I follow close behind her, on the way down we see the men that were coming for me, definitely Levi's men. We reach the bottom floor of the palace and exit the door. "Well this is a problem." Rebecca said this as we look out to see large crowds of people stuck in one place.
I start moving in between people and Rebecca soon follows behind me. "Madam wait this could be dangerous!" A loud noise fills all of the land, I look up to see, something? Whatever it was it was huge, like a hole to another place. Looking past that there are people moving normally in a kingdom similar to mine.
   It doesn't take very long for the people on the other side to start screaming. I heard a bunch of the word portal for some reason. I had no idea what it was but I am intrigued.
