Secrets of the Fold

~Chapter 4~

We walk inside and there are many paintings on the long walls. We walk for a long time around the many rooms and we finally get to what they say is my new room. It looks almost identical to my old room. I walk over to my closet to see different clothing though. "What is this strange attire?" Then a woman walks out from behind the men. "You men shall leave, Lilly these are the clothes of our world. It is much more comfortable then what you used to wear."

"I see, and you are?" She moves over to two seats and signals for me to sit in one. I go to sit next to this woman. "I am sure this is very confusing for you, I am the Director of the D.P.F. and I will help you learn the rules of the world." I once again nod to show I understand her. "What is your name madam director." She leans over and whispers, "I am Jupiter."

She leans back. "Only you shall know my true name, you are important." She then points to a book. "That is our room, pull that book to enter. Not now though." I look over to the book, it is named "The Reign of the Planets." Interesting. "Lilly, I shall share one more thing about me. I am from another dimension myself. That is why I formed this federation." I wonder where she is from. "I have powers like you, I can read minds and control objects, alive or not."

We are the same? "Yes we are Lilly. Your mind is filled with sadness and anger, and one more strange thing." I think for a moment and then speak. "What could be so strange about my mind?" Jupiter thinks for a moment. "It is like a separate person is in your head. It is a man named Dallas, he is surrounded by flames and bodies. Covered in blood." Tears begin to fall as I know what this is.

"M-my son is in my h-head?" She slowly nods. "It seems as if you have made a separate person in your head that represents your son." Jupiter gives me a piece of cloth to wipe my face. After I wipe my face she speaks. "Lilly, he is talking to a figment of you, you tell him you live and wish for him to stop." My eyes go wide. "I dreamed that earlier, in the car." There was a moment of silence between us. Jupiter is the first one to speak up. "You have a power that allows you to speak with people in other dimensions, telepathy."

Telepathy? I have never heard of such a thing. "We have spoken before Lilly, you telepathically told me the stories of your world." I did? When did I do that, I cannot remember. "Your mind does not remember since you did it in your sleep when you were ten." That would make sense since I had no clue what powers my mom provided me at that age. She was the first human in our realm to defeat a vortex dragon.

Vortex dragons were the most powerful dragons known in our dimension. My mother shared most of her powers with me so I could become even more powerful than she. Her name became one of legend, Annabelle Smith Wicker. Not long after she married my father, Leon Smith Edwards. I carry the Wicker name with me always. My husband was nice enough to keep my fathers name. His original name was Samuel Wick Lion. If only Samuel hadn't fallen ill and died. He never got to meet Dallas.

"Lilly are you alright, your thoughts are going wild." I look at her and realized what happened. "Sorry, I was thinking of my bloodline." Jupiter nods, and puts out her hand. I grab her hand and she leads me to the book. She pulls it out and a secret door opens. We then go inside. What is this place? "Lilly just wait and you'll see."
