I'm laying in bed with Emily as I run my fingers through her hair she is sound asleep. I should have left when I said I was going to but when she asked me to stay with her I couldn't find it in my heart to say no. When I got into bed with her and felt her small fragile body against mine it sparked something in me. I thought it was crazy that I kept getting pulled back to her but now it feels right.
When I explained how I felt to Elijah he was convinced that I'd found my mate. I told him he was being ridiculous. I've been alive for a thousand years and ever found my mate until now, and she's a human? No get real. However, now that I'm laying here with her I am almost certain Elijah was right. She might be a human but she makes me feel something I've never felt for anyone in my entire life. she makes me feel different but in a good way. This girl could change me for the better.
I slowly pull away from Emmy and stand up from her bed. I make sure she is still covered up and notice her stuffed animal is on the ground. I pick it up and put it between her arms and smile at how quickly she wraps her arms around it. She is so cute when she sleeps I almost don't want to leave. I sigh before carefully walking out of her room and downstairs to the kitchen. I thought I would make her some breakfast for when she wakes up. I'm pretty comfortable in the kitchen, granted it took me twenty minutes to find all the things that I needed. I eventually decide to make her pancakes and sausage after realizing she doesn't have much food in her fridge. That will soon change, I will be going with her from now on to do the grocery shopping. She needs to be eating right and eating enough.
As I start cooking I hear movement going on upstairs in Emmy's room and smile when I realize she must be awake. I hear her make her way downstairs and into the kitchen "Morning" she says in her little voice and immediately covers her mouth. I chuckle a little when I look up to see her embarrassed.
I shake my head "Good morning little wolf, no need to be embarrassed," I smile as she grabs the orange juice and pours herself some and then putting it back in the fridge. She hops up on the counter and watches me. I look over at her "Comfortable?" I ask and she giggles as she nods.
*Time skip to after the rules conversation*
Emily and I pull away from each other after we hug and she has the cutest smile on her face which causes my heart to melt into a puddle. I find myself staring at her not noticing until she finally speaks up. "Daddy why are you staring at me?" she asks as she giggles a little bit. I smirk at her as I gently squish her cheek together.
"Because you're so adorable little wolf," I finally say as I release her cheeks. She blushes a bright shade of red and buries her face in my chest. "Is my little baby embarrassed?" I ask her in a joking tone, she mumbles something into my chest that I can't quite make out. I chuckle before hugging her and giving her a small kiss on the top of her head. She pulls away and looks up at me.
"Daddy, what are we doing today? she asks in her little voice. I smile at her and shrug.
"What do you want to do today little one?" I ask wondering what her little brain had planned for today. She instantly gets the biggest grin on her face. "Oh boy, spit it out Emmy," I say smiling at her. She squirms around and sits up taking a big breath.
"Well first I'm going upstairs to grab my favorite stuffie and blankey, then grab some movies and come back here and watch to them with you," she says all of that in one breath and I can't help but shake my head.
"Breath Emmy," I say softly "How about this," I say picking her up "Hold on to Daddy," I say and she does as she's told, wrapping her arms around my neck. I smile and use my vampire speed to go up to her room and lay her down on her bed with her blanket. "Which one of these little guys is your favorite little wolf?" I ask her walking to the pile of stuffies in her room. She doesn't say anything and just stares at me with her mouth open, obviously speechless because of what just happened. I smile and walk back over to her bed "Emmy, close your mouth," and she quickly apologizes before closing her mouth. "Good girl," I praise.
"Da colorful bear is my favorite Daddy," she says pointing to the rainbow teddy bear. I smirk and walk back over to the pile and pick up the teddy bear, of course, it is, I think to myself as I walk back over to her bed and hand it to her "Trooper!!" she yells and takes it from me. I flinch a little taken aback from her yelling.

"Whoa, inside voice please Emmy," I say to her and she nods and smiles up at me. I return her smile and walk over to her tv to look at her movie collection. "What movie would you like to watch?" I ask as I look back at her. She giggles and quickly stands up to start walking over to me.
"Well only the best Disney movie of all time," she says as she wobbling over to me. Did I mention how fricken adorable this girl is?! I look at her and give her a puzzled look, waiting for her to tell me which movie she wants to watch. "Meet da Robinsons duh Daddy," she smiles as she grabs it and hands it to me. I chuckles and set up the movie before picking her up and carrying her back to her bed. She grabs Trooper and cuddles next to me as the movie starts. She snuggles further into my chest throughout the movie and I can tell she is getting tired.
"Are you getting tired baby girl?" I ask looking down at her. She rubs her eyes and shakes her head. I chuckle "Are you lying to Daddy?" I say raising my eyebrow.
"Otay maybe I'm a wittle bit tired," she says softly before yawning and rubbing her eyes. I smile at her and pull up a blanket to cover her up.
"Well, why don't you take a nap, Daddy will still be here when you wake up," I say putting my arm around her and kissing her cheek. She smiles and nods as she cuddles into me and hugs her stuffed animal. "Sleep well little wolf," I say softly as she slowly falls asleep.
"Tankies Daddy," she mumbles and before I know it she is fast asleep.
