Chapter 20

Wilhemina let me cry and caressed my back. “I need you Mina” I sobbed again and she brushed her fingers through my hair. “I'm right here my love” she whispered and I said “No, not just now, in this moment. I mean all the time, I can't get through this whole Apocalypse shit without you.” Her hand took my chin and pushed it up. She looked me deeply in the eyes and whispered “I'm always there for you, if you want you can sleep in my room tonight.” I nodded and wiped my tears away. “But, we need to be careful. The others could see us.” I grabbed her hand and said “I give a shit about the others. I love you and they need to accept this.” Mina nodded and she opened the door. We walked to her room, but we saw nobody on our way.

As we arrived and Wilhemina locked her door my knees gave out under me and I almost hit the ground again, but Wilhemina catched me.  “We need to get you on the bed” she mumbled and I nodded weakly. After I laid on her bed I mumbled “I'm so sorry.” “It's okay my love” Wilhemina said and caressed my cheek. “Do you want to get out of your clothes?” she asked me and I nodded. I sat up and she pulled the zipper down from the dress. “Thank you” I said after the dress was gone. “You're welcome my sweet girl and now let us get some sleep.” “Wait, let me help you with your dress” I whispered and sat up slowly. She wanted to protest, but I stopped her. Wilhemina came to me and turned her back towards me. I pulled the zipper down and brushed her dress down her body. She put her dress away and wanted to put her pj's on, but I stopped her. “Could you please just sleep in your underwear? I need to feel you” I whispered and looked down.

The mattress moved and Mina touched my shoulder. “Of course love” she said and smiled at me. She laid down and this time it was me, who came closer. My head laid on her chest and her heartbeat was soothing for me. “Are you feeling better?” she asked and brushed her fingers through my hair. “Yes, thank you. I love you so much” I whispered and drew circles on her stomach with my finger. She got goosebumps and I smiled. “I love you too. Now sleep my sweet girl.” I nodded and closed my eyes.

The next morning I woke up, because of the pain in my head and I hissed. At first I couldn't remember where I was, but then I saw Wilhemina next to me. She was still asleep and as I watched her the pain subsided slowly. Her eyes started to open slowly and for a moment they widened, but then she saw me sitting next to her and she let out a deep breath. “I thought you left” she whispered and sat up too. I shook my head and leaned into her. Her arms went around my body and moved up and down on my back. “No, I woke up because my head was hurting, but now it's okay.” “Okay” Wilhemina said and kissed my forehead. “I need to go to my room” I said and stood up. “Okay, but you know that you don't need to leave, right?” I nodded and gave her a kiss.

In my room I showered and changed into some new clothes and made my way to the dining room. As I entered I was immediately pulled into a hug and Coco said “OMG (Y/N) how are you? Is everything okay? Mallory told us everything.” I pushed her lightly away and answered “Yeah I'm okay. It hurts, but not that much.” The others didn't need to know, how much pain I'm actually really feeling. We sat down on the table and waited for Ms. Mead and Wilhemina. “These two are never late. I'm curious what they're doing” Mr. Gallant said and Dinah wanted to say something, as the door opened. Ms. Mead and Wilhemina walked in and our eyes met immediately.

“Before you start eating, I have another announcement for you” Mina said as she sat down on her chair. Her hand found mine under the table and she squeezed it. “I am allowing you to have relationships, but be careful with what you're all doing” Wilhemina said and I had tears in my eyes. “Why now? What has changed your opinion?” Timothy asked and all eyes were on Wilhemina. “Because it's unfair towards you, if I'm breaking my rules myself” she said and a few others gasped. “What?” Mr. Gallant shouted. “You? With who?” Coco shouted too and Wilhemina's cheeks reddened. “I'm suggesting Ms. Mead” Dinah said and I spat my water out, because I needed to laugh. Some of the water came out of my nose and I coughed. They all looked at me and I was still laughed and coughing at the same time. Wilhemina slapped my leg and Coco hit me lightly on my back.

“Everything okay?” Coco asked and I nodded. “What's so funny?” Dinah asked me and narrowed her eyes. “Oh nothing, just the imagination of Ms. Mead together with Ms. Venable. No offense Ms. Mead” I said and looked at Ms. Mead. “OMG she's blushing” Coco screamed and laughed. “Maybe what Dinah says is true” Emily said and shrugged with her shoulders. “No it's not” Wilhemina interrupted our discussion and all eyes were on her. “Oh really? And who is the lucky one then?” Mr. Gallant said sarcastic. Wilhemina didn't said a word and everyone was waiting for the answer.
