Chapter 18

"You!" Coco yelled and stormed to Wilhemina. My eyes widened and I gasped. I couldn't react this fast as Coco slapped Wilhemina right across the face. "Don't ever lay a hand on (Y/N) again" Coco yelled and I gasped. Wilhemina held her cheek and looked at Coco with fury in her eyes. I saw Mina's hand twitch and pulled Coco backwards. The cane landed on my arm and I yelped. "Fuck" I screamed and tried to suppress the tears, but they still flowed down. Coco wanted to get back to Wilhemina, but I screamed "No! Stop! Both of you! Coco calm the fuck down, you need to leave now, before Ms. Venable decides to kill you for slapping her and Ms. Venable please don't hit me again today, I can't take another one."

I sobbed and looked at Mina. She had tears in her eyes too, but for the others it looked like she had them because of Cocos slap. But I knew the truth. Coco walked out of the room with Gallant and Mina wanted to say something, but I held my hand up and shook my head. I walked out and just went to my room. The tears didn't stopped flowing down my face and it was hard to breath. Inside my room I screamed really loud and crashed down onto my bed.

I slept in and woke up really early the next day. As I showered I needed to be really careful, because of the wounds on my back. I walked to the dining room and saw that there was just one other person. Wilhemina. She saw me and walked quickly to me. Tears streamed down her face and I saw dark circles under her eyes. "I'm so sorry" she whispered and placed her hands on my cheeks. "I'm really so sorry." She cried really hard and she really wanted to kiss me.

"Kiss me, please Mina" I whispered and she did it. It was a sweet, light kiss and it tasted like the salt from our tears. "I can't do this (Y/N). Please, I don't want to hurt you" she mumbled and kissed me again. "Maybe if you start changing the rules, bit by bit, we can be together officially." Mina looked at me and nodded after a moment. "Okay" she breathed out and wiped the tears from my face.

I did the same for her and walked to the table. A few minutes later the others came one by one to the dining room and we started with the breakfast. "I have an announcement" Wilhemina said loudly and all the attention were on her. "I'm allowing you to stay up at night as long as you like. I decided that you followed the rules quite good and thought that you deserve a reward." I smiled and heard mumbling from some of the others. "Thank you Ms. Venable" Emily said and we nodded.

The talks through breakfast were good and some of us also laughed some times. My hand found Mina's under the table and I squeezed it. She squeezed back and I smiled lightly.

After we ate, I joined Coco and the others into the main room and Coco asked "What do you think made her change her rules?" "Maybe the slap from Coco gave her some sense" Dinah said sarcastic and I rolled my eyes at her comment. "Shut up Dinah" I said a little bit too loud and she heard it. "What did you say?" she yelled at me and I lifted an eyebrow.

"I said shut up" I repeated myself and smirked. I didn't noticed that Wilhemina joined us and Dinah stormed to me. Her hand lifted, ready to slap me, but I was quicker. I grabbed it and twisted it around and pushed her against the wall, with a loud thud. I heard gasps and said to Dinah "Don't you ever try to hit me again, or you will really regret it. Did you understand that?" She nodded and I let her go.

Everyone looked at me, but my eyes locked with Wilhemina's. "Why are you always defending Ms. Venable?" Timothy asked me and looked between us.
