Chapter 2

I entered the dining room and Coco yelled "(Y/N) sweetie there you are. We were worried about you when you didn't show up for dinner and when Ms. Venable started to search for you." "Yeah she found me" I murmured and sat down. "Will you get punished?" Gallant whispered to me. "I don't know" I whispered back as Ms. Venable entered the room. Her eyes found mine and narrowed. I gulped and looked down. "Oh oh" I heard Gallant say next to Coco, but instead of a thread towards me Ms. Venable said "Enjoy your meal." I sighed, but rolled with my eyes. It was the same disgusting nutrition cube we got each day.

I just waited for someone to snap and yell at the food we got, but it didn't happen. It barely satisfied our hunger, but it was better than nothing. I swallowed the "food" and looked up the first time since Ms. Venable entered the room. I felt her eyes on me, but still refused to look at her. After dinner everyone settled into the main room and I joined them this time.
I sat on the couch when Ms. Venable said "Ms. (Y/L/N) a word, please!" All eyes were on me and I gulped. She walked out of the room and I followed her.

She kept walking and I asked "Where are we going?" "I want to talk to you without prying ears around us," she said and hit her cane one time on the floor. I heard some of the Grey's shuffling away and shook my head slightly. We arrived at the door and she opened it. Inside I saw that it must be her private room and my eyes widened. Why did she brought me to her room? "What am I doing here Ms. Venable?" I asked her and stood at the entrance. "As I said I wanted to talk to you privately," she said and sat down on one of her seats. "Come on, take a seat" she motioned for me to sit down. I did as I was told and sat down. I looked down at my hands and she began to talk.

"I noticed how often you watch me and it made me feel insecure, that's why I snapped at you this morning." I interrupted her and said "I don't wanted to make you feel that way, I'm so sorry." "Don't interrupt me (Y/N)! As I said, I noticed your stares and I want to know why you're doing this." My eyes widened and I swallowed some saliva. "I can't tell you" I mumbled. "You have no other choice as to tell me" Ms. Venable insisted. I took a deep breath and murmured "I think you're beautiful." "What was that? I didn't understand you" she said and leaned forward. My eyes locked with hers and I said a little bit louder "I think you're beautiful." Now it was Ms. Venables turn to blush. "I don't know what to say to this" Ms. Venable said quietly and I stood up. "Act like I didn't say this. Forget it, it's against your rules anyway" I said and hurried out of her room. Leaving her stunned and speechless. I ran down the hallways, bumped into Ms. Mead and fell down. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She yelled at me and I apologized. "Where were you anyway? You should be in your room!" "I had a conversation with Ms. Venable" I said and ran passed her, because I heard the sound of that significant cane.
