>>> One Year Later

Collins P.O.V.

Today was the first anniversary of Hannah's death. Three days from now will be a year since I've seen or heard from Liam. Niall, Zayn, Harry, and Louis all try to keep me updated on how Liam is. Their hectic lives, make it difficult for updates, as they are One Direction. I've tried to contact Liam numerous times through calls, texts and emails, but nothing. I miss Liam incredibly, but it seems he doesn't miss me the slightest. Although its painful to think of never hearing from Liam again if its what he wants, I understand.

My contract with Simon Cowell had ended. The small amount of fame I had, had also died down. The one and a million chance of fame I was so fortunate at experiencing had run its course. I was in a way thankful that my short-lived fame was over, and I fell back to reality. I returned home to my lovely hometown Nashville. I'm now attending College to become a pediatric nurse.

I looked at the clock that read: 12:27 p.m. I had to be at Hannah's moms' house at 1:30 p.m. so I needed to hurry. I'm supposed to head to Hannah's mother's house today to help sort through some of Hannah's things. I had no clue how close Hannah's mom had lived to me, shockingly very close. Hannah's mother decided to sell her home, her mother's excuse was it was to large. Though Melissa and I both knew it was because she couldn't stand Hannah not being there.

"Hey Mara, tell mom I'll be home soon, gonna go out for a bit." I instructed my sister, before grabbing my keys to leave.

'I took a trip to the year 3000' ...

My age-old ring tone began sounding as I hopped into my hummer. "Hello?"

"Hey, it's Melissa I'm at Hannah's mom's are you on your way yet? You've gotta see all the funny stuff we're finding, like love notes, diaries, all kinds of stuff you'd never think Hannah would have." Melissa chuckled through the phone.

Laughing, "Yeah, I just got in my car, I should be there in about thirty minutes."

"Okay hurry," Melissa continued to giggle into the phone, before hanging up. I'm glad she's having fun going through her dead friends things not to be harsh in all, but I'm speaking the truth...

Traveling at about 55 mph. on a country road, seemed as if I couldn't get to Hannah's moms' house fast enough. One Direction songs were haunting me today. One Thing played on one station, and Midnight Memories played on another. Thoughts of Liam always somehow find a way to creep back into my mind, and frankly I found it aggravating.

My GPS rudely interrupted my singing to 'Shake it Off', and gave me my warning I was approaching my destination. When I pulled into the driveway of Hannah's former home, I immediately sensed a pang of hurt, and comfort.

I saw Melissa practically hanging out a window from the second story of the house. I guess that's my signal to come on in.

"Hi, Mrs. Dawson. I'm Collins Taylor. It's very nice to meet you," I awkwardly introduced myself to the blonde standing before me.

"Call me Amy, I haven't been Mrs. Dawson for seven years," she warmly returned the greeting. "Okay girls, if you want to start sorting all Hannah's books I'll go grab some more boxes."

Finally entering my former enemies room, it was nothing I had ever imagined it to be. Honestly, it was filled with books about everything. When Hannah's mom said sort through her books, this might take us a millennium.

"How about you start on the far side of the bookshelves, and I'll start on this side." Melissa stated, scanning the mass amount of books as she spoke.

"Okay, here goes nothing." I took a deep breath before I began this fearful endeavour, then started.

Melissa, Hannah's mom and I had been sorting through books for the past hour. Finding out Hannah was a total and complete bookworm was not her personality. She'd been keeping her love for reading and books a secret, which I find amusing.
