I May Finally Be On To Something

It's been a week since the Ellen show, and things have been pretty, I don't know, eh. I mean I thought winning the show would give me fame. Not just a five minute run, but real fame. I don't want to be somebody who people think about in five years and say, "Huh. I wonder what happened to her. I always liked that one song. What was it called again?" No. I want to be the person people look at in five years and say, "Oh my gosh! You got the new album! Lucky! I've liked her since I was 12!" That's what I want. I don't know, I'm probably just being selfish.

Lazily, I got out of bed, made myself a cup of coffee, and turned on the tv. I flip to channel 8, and decide on the Today show. I see Kathie Lee and Hoda talking about  the latest celebrity gossip and rumors. I'm pretty much half-watching, just looking up at the screen every no and then. Mainly zoning out and drinking my coffee.

I look up because I hear my name. "And her song, The Walker, has 45,000,000 views on YouTube. Outnumbering even One Direction's new song, Steal My Girl." For a while I just sit there with my mouth open. Not wanting to catch flies, I close my mouth. I then hit the rewind button to make sure what I heard was correct. Sure thing, I heard right. Then, I flip through the other channels and they were all talking about me. Even E! was talking about me and my apparent "fashion statements".

Well, one thing's for sure. Shit just got real.

HI!!!!!!

I'm uh, you know sorry? Does that excuse even work anymore? Probably not. I know that it's short, but you guys know that this was long overdue. And are you okay with cussing? I cuss a lot in real life and I think I might want to bring it into my stories gradually.

On another note, I entered my story into the Watty Awards. So fingers crossed!
