lizzie davis had once been known as the girl who lost her other half. she had only been thirteen when her twin sister, veronica, managed to go missing. many classified as another runaway incident but she knew better. her sister would never do that and even if she had the idea, she'd never leave lizzie behind. as cliche as it sounded, they really did everything together and even knew what the other was thinking without so much as a word being spoken. it'd only be a couple months later when they'd find veronica's body all swollen and blue, inches away from the town lake. lizzie had lost it during that moment, something within her snapping completely.
it seemed as though the day that veronica died was the day that lizzie did too, the once happy and popular girl now retreating into a hollow shell. she became a ghost, unable to feel much of anything anymore. she hardly had friends or talked to anyone and when she did speak, it was usually laced with malice. everyone's convinced that lizzie davis has truly lost her mind. and she's convinced she has as well, especially when she's suddenly become haunted with terrifying dreams of horrifying creatures lurking in the shadows and a darkness looming in the sky.
the dreams only seem to continue when will byers, zombie boy, is deemed found after having been pronounced dead - the circumstances surrounding his disappearance eerily similar to veronica's own. but the girl doesn't want to dwell in the past. she just wants to survive the suffocatingly small town of hawkins as well as the war going on in her own mind. unfortunately, the past isn't quite finished with lizzie davis and she'll soon learn that there's something much more sinister going on in hawkins - she herself somehow connected to it all.
