"may our heart's garden of awakening bloom with hundreds of flowers."

ADESSA

"Lando!" I yell annoyed.

"What?" He responds rather scared.

"That is not the way you plant a flower," I deny with my head.

"I told you I'm useless," He retorts making me laugh.

"Don't worry, next time I will believe you," I joke as he bumps me playfully and I do too until a lighting scares the both us.

"We better get inside before the rain starts," He states looking at the dark clouds and I nod in agreement.

We start picking up our garden stuff and we proceed to walk inside my house. Lando and I decided to start planting our own garden because we discovered truth in the garden, in the shy glance of a nameless flower and found existence in one infinite moment, but we clearly failed at picking a nice day.

We both wash the dust off our hands in the kitchen sink as we have a small chat.

"You need to pack," He smiles and I nod.

"Will you make yourself useful and help me?" I joke raising a brow as he chuckles.

"Well, to be honest, I am better at packing that planting," He winks.

"See, we are like a balance, I know how to do things that you don't and you know how to do things that I don't," I state smiling.

"And that is why, we get on so well and I love you," He smiles too before pressing his lips onto mines.

"This is a family house," My brother makes us separate as he scares both of us by walking into the kitchen. "Aw, look at you, you both have red cheeks," He mocks us as I slap his head.

"Shut up," I spat making him laugh. "Let's go upstairs," I tell Lando who just nods.

"Don't close the door!" My brother exclaims as I sigh and Lando's cheeks get redder.

As we walk inside the room, we decide to blast music as he helps me packing for his next race. Since we started dating, he has insisted on me going to all of his races because according to him, I am his lucky charm.

After a while of packing, we both get tired and just lay in bed talking about nothing special.

"I so live for the quiet moments. Just you and me, sitting or laying down in silence, just being, you know, us." He speaks as he plays with our intertwined fingers.

"You are my soulmate," I mumble.

"And what is a soulmate?" He wonders with a curious tone.

"It's a... Well, it's like a best friend, but more. It's the one person in the world that knows you better than anyone else. It's someone who makes you a better person, well, actually they don't make you a better person... you do that yourself but because they inspire you. A soulmate is someone who you carry with you forever. It's the one person who knew you, and accepted you, and believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would and no matter what happens.. you'll always love them." I lower my voice in the last sentence.

"Then you are my soulmate too," He responds sounding like a little kid and we remain in silence again, just listening to the song in the back. "You know," He speaks again making me turn my head to him and nodding so he can continue. "I knew my heart was yours from the first day," He declares.

"Why?" I frown.

"Because I fell in love with you from the first moment, and as time passed my love changed, it didn't disappear, it went from being romantic, to friendly. But now it's come full circle, and I love you with a life that is more than love." He explains making me smile.

"You are rambling," I chuckle he opens his mouth to speak but I do it first. "Why did you choose that garden?" The garden where we met is not even close to his house.

"To be honest, the original garden I wanted to go was closed so I just sat in my car driving for hours until I saw it," He smiles. "It was the sweetest, most mysterious-looking place anyone could imagine. The high walls which shut it in were covered with the leafless stems of climbing roses which were so thick that they were matted together." He explains.

"It's magical, isn't it?"

He raises a brow at me. "You could say it," He shrugs. "What were you doing there?" He wonders.

"I was just sitting here, enjoying the company. Plants got a lot to say if you take the time to listen." I wink making him chuckle.

"I love you," He states staring deep in my eyes.

"I love you too," I respond with a smile on my face.

Love is the flower of life, and blossoms unexpectedly and without law, and must be plucked where it is found, and enjoyed for the brief hour of its duration.
