King Henry VIII died and his son George became King George I. His sister Mary was regent. She sent Jane Seymour away from court.
June 1548
The coronation was postponed when news came that Mary Tudor's twin daughters caught ill.
September 1548
The twins had gotten worse and the council didn't want to keep waiting for the coronation. Mary insisted they wait until October since Elizabeth's birthday was in September.
October 1548
The coronation finally happened. The twins however were not able to come and neither did Mary. Her husband went in her stead.
