Fionna's POV

I was sleeping as peacefully as I could. Then Cake I had walked into my room and began to try and wake me.

"Baby, could you wake up baby." She was worried about me, "I made breakfast."  Once Cake said breakfast I was definitely getting up.

"Okay." I said groggy with sleep. I was still in my clothes from yesterday. I got up from the comfy warm bed and went with cake to eat in our kitchen. I  took a seat in the stool next to Cake, she had made bacon pancakes. Bacon pancakes were one of my favorites, and she only made them when she wanted something, or when she needed to apologize.

"I'm sorry I freaked out on you last night when you told me about you and Marshall." She gave me a small smile.

"It's okay, Cake. I know you were just looking out for me and I appreciate that. But I am old enough now to pick who I want to date." I said politely.

"Yeah, baby I know. I just don't want you to get hurt."

"Don't worry, I won't. But could you help me get ready for my date tonight?" I asked.

Cakes face lit up, "Of course I will!" And she smiled from ear to ear.
Marshall's POV

I am so nervous about tonight. I really hope Cake won't claw  my eyes out when I pick up Fionna. Stop worrying Marshall. I took a deep breath in and out and stopped pacing around my living room. I'm glad it gets dark sooner I have more time to go out and do things, that is what I like about fall and winter, my favorite seasons. I looked at my cheep and pitiful excuse for a clock on my wall, its 5 'o'clock. One hour, which will probably be the longest in my undead life. I went to my room and put on my black skinny Jeans, my red flannel shirt, along with my red converse. It was dark outside already, I should be leaving soon I check the clock again 5:15. brush my teeth again, and put on deodorant. I always worry about my hygiene around her, I honestly don't know why, but I guess its a good thing. I check in the mirror one last time, grab the picnic basket, and some red roses. 5:20. I float out the door, with my items at hand. I get there in 30 minutes, I would of got there sooner but I didn't want to be to early. I knocked on the door and waited a little bit. Cake soon opened the door.

"Come in, she'll be down in a bit." She smiled at me.

"Okay, thanks." I smiled back.

Her smile faded, "Don't you dare hurt my baby. Or I will claw your eyes out. Don't try anything either." She said sternly.

"I won't, I promise." I smiled again but this time I was nervous and frightened. Cake left and went up stairs. Soon after Fionna came down, she looked absolutely gorgeous, I mean she is always but I've never seen her like this. I didn't realize but my jaw had dropped in awe of her beauty.

"What?" She began to blush. "You can stop drooling now Marsh." She laughed.

"You look gorgeous, Fi." I grabbed the roses. "Here I got these for you." I smiled, and handed them to her.

"Thanks Marshal." She smiled big, as her checks turned red. "I'm gonna put these in a vase real quick." she ran up stairs. She wasn't wearing her bunny hat, instead her hair was down and in a cute white head band, she wore black skinny Jeans that complemented the curves of her legs, and a long sleeved white shirt, that stuck snugly to her arms, but laid loosely on her body, and around her neck was blue infinity scarf layered beautifully to were the blue had made her eyes even brighter.

"So where are we going?" She smiled. I revealed the picnic basket from behind where I was standing.

"It's a suprise." I smirked, and held my hand out for her to hold. She took it and blushed. We walked out her house and after 15 minutes we were there. It wasn't much, but it was one of my favorite places. The place was beautiful, it was a valley, of flowers of all different flowers, meet at a small pond. On the pond where lily pads, and there was a gorgeous cherry blossom tree on the opposite side of where the valley met the pond. I always sat under the tree to look at the pond and the valley.

"Wow, Marshall this place is beautiful." She smiled. I led her under the tree and began to set up our picnic.

"Fi, you look gorgeous." I gave a faint smile.

"How many times are you going to say that." She laughed at me.

"As many times as I want because it's true." Then I flew over to her and kissed her forehead. Then we sat and ate, in sweet silence enjoying each others company.
