Prompt 6: A science project goes horribly wrong...tell us what happens in 100 words or less

The assistant watched with cloyed eyes as the doctor stuck the syringe through the vacuum hole of the water filled cylindrical capsule. The tailed creature jolted in pain as its jaded blood filled the vile. Still quietly observing, the assistant quirked a brow as the doctor eagerly replaced the needle point and inserted it into her own flesh. 

“This is a bad idea…” She finally said.

The words were barely spoken when the doctor began to convulse violently and her body’s flesh dissolved like seafoam. Her gurgled cries of help stopped and where she once was, now was a Flounder. Picking it up from the mess, she climbed the ladder of the capsule and dropped what was once the doctor into the water; watching intently as the mermaid gobbled her down.

“Bad idea…”
