Olivia's point of view.

I stood with a bouquet of flowers in my hands, trying to stop the quivering before I opened the door. I hesitated as the music started. Here comes the bride... I sung in my head as all eyes turned towards me. I spotted Adrian with the other brides maids and she winked at me and mouthed good luck

I bit my lip then took the first step towards the alter. This is it... I walked alone towards the man who I was supposed to be marrying. I haven't seen him since we were children and were told that we would be married when we got older.

Alexander stood, back strait, head high, at the alter. His feet were shoulder length apart and his hands were clasped in front of him. I could tell that he was trying to not look intimidating and smile but a frown seemed to be plastered on his face. I could tell he hated this as much as I did. Neither of us wanted to get married but we were forced into it by our fathers "for the sake of keeping our strength in the bloodline." Both of our families were known for our strength and speed but I, being half human, inherited neither of those.

As I approached I handed my bouquet to Adrian and stood face to face with Alexander then joined hands with him. He was taller and bigger then me. He was clean shaven and his dark hair was brushed back. Bits of hair hung in his face. I watched as his chest rose and fell while the preacher spoke. We said our vows, the classic ones, and then exchanged rings. They were simple as I had requested mine a band with diamonds inlaid and his a simple band of silver. His ring fit perfectly on his big, long fingered hand.

"You may now kiss the bride." The preacher said.

I hesitated for a second then as he moved towards me, I did the same and took a step forward until our lips touched.

It felt as if fire and ice and electricity flowed through my veins as we kissed. It was just a normal kiss, no french-ness and such. Just... A kiss. But in it I could feel all of him. I could feel his emotions were just as jumbled as mine. I could feel his nervousness, his uncertainty.

I could feel his deep profound sadness.

As he pulled away, I opened my eyes, which I hadn't realized that I had closed, and looked into his pale blue eyes.

After that, I heard Adrian behind me as she approached and turned to take the bouquet from her. "Good luck, Libby." She wiped her eyes with the heel of her hand as she hugged me tightly.

As soon as she let me go I said, "Thanks," then walked down the aisle, hand in hand, with Alexander. He kept casting sideways glances down at me as we walked out of the church.

As soon as the evening sun light hit us, we were bombarded with questions by humans and vampires alike with mikes and recorders and pads of paper. They were held back by security. I couldn't make out what they were saying but I caught phrases and fragments of questions.

"...beautiful dress is from?" One woman asked.

"Where do the people of faith stand...issue of..." A man in an official looking suit inquired holding a mike towards us.

"Half human...vampire... all the media is able to talk about."

Alexander disconnected his hand from mine to open the door of the long black limousine. I slid into the seat making sure that my dress was out of the way before he sat down beside me. We sat at the very back and there was a glass wall between us and the driver so we could have some privacy.

I bit my lower lip and clasped my hands in my lap as the limo began to move trying not to make eye contact with Alexander. After a few minutes he sighed. "This silence is driving me crazy." He spoke monotonous. His voice was deep and smooth and washed over me like a wave.
