Jesslyn's POV:
I awoke the next morning to a churning in my stomach. Rushing to the bathroom, my dinner from the previous night made its debut. Sitting on the floor with my back pressed against the wall, I rubbed my four month swollen belly. Just six more months and I would be a mother. A mother to a pure bred hybrid. I could feel the baby moving around in my belly. He or she was doing summer salts. Suddenly I remembered I had a doctors appointment today to find out if I am having a boy or a girl. Rushing into my room I quickly changed my clothes and rushed to the doctor.
Sitting in the waiting room, my eyes darted around looking at all the expectant mothers and the nervous fathers sitting with them. The way the fathers looked around wondering why and how they got here made me laugh.
" Jesslyn Mikaelson?"
I got up and followed the nurse into the back.
" step onto the scale please. "
I stepped up onto the scale and the weight kept going up.
" 179.56. You need to eat more. Gain weight, this low of a weight is not good. "
" okay. "
She lead me down a hallway and into a room.
" the doctor will be in soon. "
The doctor came in about twenty minutes after I was lead back there.
" hey Jess how you doing? Getting big."
" I'm fine. Can't wait to find out if it is a prince or princess. "
" we'll lay back and pull up your shirt and we shall see. "
The freezing cold blue gel was dropped onto my stomach and the wand was soon to follow. She moved the wand around until she stopped. The steady heart beat was heard.

" there he is. "
" he?"
" yep you're having a little boy. "
Tears pricked my eyes. The doctor let me clean up as she went to get the picture from the ultrasound. The heartbeat of my son was all I heard as I wiped the jelly off my stomach. When she walked back in, I noticed that I was crying.
" excited to tell the father?"
" yeah I am. "
" well you can go home now. "
" thank you. "
I rushed back to my car and sped towards my house. When I walked into the house I heard a crash and the shattering of glass. Running in, I saw Elijah throwing vases and plates. His hands kept bleeding then healing then repeating.

" Elijah! LIJAH! What's wrong?"
" oh my gosh, Jess! You're okay!"
He rushed to me and pulled me into a hug. His tears staining my shirt.
" Lijah, what's wrong?"
" you left, and I thought you weren't coming back. "
" Lijah, I would never leave. Our son needs both of us. "
" our...son?"
" it's a little boy Lijah. "
Lijah bent down to my stomach and started whispering.
" hey little man, I might not be your dad but you will always be my little man. I love you so much and your mom loves you too. We will spoil you rotten once you get here. "

By the time Elijah was done, I was crying. He wiped away my tears and kissed my lips. Soft and sweet just how I like it.

" Lijah can we go shopping for things now?"
" just clothes because after he's born, we are leaving. I have found a permanent home. "
" where?"
" New Orleans. "
