Chapter 8

Taylor's POV

The next day at school I was walking down the hall when I heard music coming from the music room. I walked in and saw a girl with short brown hair and hazel brown eyes dancing. She was dancing to classical music as I sat back and watched. After she was done I greeted her.

"Hey." I said to her.

"Oh hi." She shyly said.

"Um, I saw you dancing. You're really good." I folded my arms.

"Oh thanks." She smiled.

"I'm a dancer too." I told her.

"Really?" She asked.

"Totally! So what's your name?" I asked her.

"Lilah." She smiled.

"Okay, I'm Taylor. Some friends call me Tay for short." I smiled.

"I was just heading to lunch, do you wanna join me?" I asked her.

"Sure." She said.

She grabbed her bag and we both headed to lunch.

At lunch I was sitting with Lilah, she had a chicken sandwich with pickles.

"I like pickles." She said.

"Cool." I smiled.

Grace, Jaeda, Ruth and Victoria came over and sat with us. Grace giving me a cheesy grin causing me to raise an eyebrow at her.

"Soooo, how did it go?" She asked.

"How did what go?" I asked confused.

"The ice cream shop with Johnny Duh!" She laughed.

"Oh it was fun! He said that the cherries reminded him of me because their sweet just like me." I blushed.

"He said that?!" Jaeda's eyes got big.

"Yeah." I shook all over.

"Aww!" Her, Ruth, Jaeda and Victoria said.

"So who's this?" Grace asked looking at Lilah.

"Oh, this is Lilah." I pointed at her.

"Hi." She said.

"Hey." Grace said.

"Lilah this is Grace, Jaeda, Ruth and Victoria." I pointed at each of them.

A few seconds later Johnny, Connor and Carson came over to our table and sat down. Johnny sat in front of me, Connor sat beside Johnny and Carson sat beside Connor and across from Lilah.

"Hey Tay." Johnny spoke to me.

"Hey." I said.

"Did you have fun yesterday?" He asked me grinning.

"Yeah I did, I'm still gonna get you for wiping whipped cream on my nose." I laughed.

"I don't recall." Johnny started whistling.

I playfully hit his arm making him laugh.

"So who's this?" He pointed at Lilah.

"This is Lilah. Lilah this is Johnny, Connor and Carson." I introduced.

Carson and Lilah locked eyes with each other, I could tell that she was trying her best to keep from blushing.

"Nice to meet you." Carson smiled.

"You too." Lilah smiled back.

"So tell us about yourself Lilah." Grace looked at her.

"Okay um, well I'm shy around new people, I love to dance and sing, and I love my pet dog!" She smiled.
