Mystery did not want anybody to hear her, hurt sniffling did not help the fact that Payton himself was already struggling to sleep. She cried so hard this sob so shook her poor body. Can she wish she could do something about it but she didn't have her pills.
Peyton laid there hearing the sniffling and not knowing if it was actually somebody crying, he sat up. He had seen Mystery in a vulnerable state to many times already. It kinda scared him to be honest.
She could be depressed or something. When she cried he looked over at her, he wasn't just gonna let her cry. She froze as soon as she heard shifting. Her breath catching in her throat.
She spoke, "Go back to sleep." Her voice wobbled like jello but it was firm and straight with him. She felt the pillows being adjusted and the tears still weren't stopping. But she couldn't let him see.
