Annie is just a regular girl. An only child who goes to school, when she's not skiving, and enjoys going out with her friends. She has dark brown hair, blue eyes and a tanned body. Her father had passed away when she was a baby so she never really knew him. Her mother (Nicole) on the other hand was very much alive and was living her life with no regrets. She would go out to party's every night and sometimes Annie would get left out. On the weekends they used to do something together, like watch a movie or go out shopping but not anymore. Since she had gotten her new boyfriend she had completely forgotten about Annie. It's like her dad didn't exist anymore. Annie was getting fed up. She hated her mothers new boyfriend and she didn't like to say this but she hated her mother too.
A few nights back her mother and her boyfriend went out to a party. Annie was feeling particularly down that night and begged her mother not to go. It's obvious that she didn't listen as she just walked out the door. Annie was upset about this so she just went upstairs to her room and she tried to sleep. After numerous attempts at sleeping she gave up and went back downstairs to make some tea. She thought that this would help her sleeping problems. As she boiled the kettle she noticed that there was a cup half full of coffee. She pondered this for a moment and realised that this can't of been her mothers. Her mother only drank any hot liquid out of her special cup and plus she disliked coffee. Annie was confused. No one had been in the house other than herself and mother. They lived alone, with Sam, her mothers boyfriend, popping in sometimes but he didn't like coffee either. Annie was embarrassed of how she knew this. She hated Sam.
Sam had long ginger hair that was in a side parting. He had blue eyes also. He had been in prison earlier this year for GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm). For most of Sam and Nicole's relationship, Annie never knew he had been in prison but when studying GBH in school she stumbled upon his name. She was gobsmacked when she found this out and demanded her mother to dump him but her mother was adamant that he was the 'one'. Annie found it hard to believe that Sam was the 'one'. She didn't believe in fate and all of that stuff, she took everything literal.
Annie spooned two sugers into her mug and added a teabag then poured in the hot water. The water steamed up her glasses. She only used her glasses when she had bad headaches, that day she had a particularly bad head. After she made her tea she took a paracetamol tablet out of the packet and swallowed it with her tea. She slowly trudged back upstairs trying not to spill any tea on the stairs as her mother would go mental! She was so precious of her possessions. When she got to her room she sat on the bed, drank her tea and thought about that mysterious coffee cup, where did it come from? Did someone break in? Is she cheating on Sam? Annie was so confused, and her bad head didn't help that. She led down and began to sleep, still thinking about that coffee.
