She was smiling. Smiling. Her mother laughed at what Annie was saying and cuddled Sam. Annie couldn't believe her eyes! She trusted her crummy horrible fiancé over her own daughter. Annie ran down the stairs being extra careful at the bottom in case she fell again and stormed out of the back door.
Nicole and Sam followed down the stairs and looked out the front door. They obviously couldn't find Annie as she went out the back door.
Annie sat down by the side of the house feeling confused. She kept thinking whether or not she was crazy. Did she imagine the whole thing or did that really just happen? She thought about this for a while while she planned her next move. She wasn't sure to either go back in the house and act like nothing happened and leave the house at night or go back in and cause a commotion about Sam. Annie knew that her mother would never believe her so she decided to go with the first plan. She strolled back into the house acting normal, then slumped on the sofa and started watching a movie. Nicole left a note on the coffee table. It said:
GONE OUT. WHEN WE COME BACK I EXPECT YOU TO HAVE CALMED DOWN BY THEN.
Annie didn't care that they had gone out as she wanted to plan her escape. She would do it tomorrow night so that there is no suspicion. She was going to pack her bag in the morning and get everything ready and then she would leave that night and never look behind her. Annie decided to walk to the nearest shopping store to get supplies for when she leaves. She had a spare key, so locked up and left a note like her mother does all the time. She walked about a mile and she was there. She only had £100 and needed at least half till she found a job and a hotel so she was planning to only spend £30 and leave the £20 just in case.
She decided to buy the food that would last long. She bought some pasta, tuna, eggs, bread and beans. That totalled up to about £10 so she bought some sweets as a treat. She then walked back to the house, eating her chocolate bar. She noticed that Nicole and Sam weren't home yet so she was able to hide the food in her room. Luckily nothing needed to go in the fridge so everything was fine.
She then went downstairs and got a cooking pan out of the cupboard. She put that and some plates and bowls and cutlery in her bag and put it in her wardrobe. She then heard her mother come through the door. He called for Annie in her slurred drunk voice. Annie know that Nicole was drunk and just went downstairs and made some dinner for herself. She had been so busy that she hadn't eaten anything but the sweets since lunch. It was now 11:00pm.
Annie was going to make some chips and have a chip butty. She poured the oil in the deep fat fryer and waited for the oil to heat up. Her mother crawled over to the oven where Annie was standing and started tugging on her legs. Annie asked her to get of but she didn't listen. She kept pulling and pulling and then she stopped and started tugging on the oven doors. Annie demanded her to stop but she was so drunk that she didn't register that thought! She kept pulling and pulling until she got a hold of the handle on the deep fat fryer. In that split second that pan fell off of the oven and poured all over Nicole's head. She screamed.
