The immortality that is given

Chapter two

I awoke to screaming. It was just my stupid nightmare. The house seemed quiet. Until I hear her small breaths assuring me she was asleep. I was just paranoid again.

I remember looking into his eyes and realizing that I would never know what true fear was like until now. In the car that night I had asked him his name and no response came. He pointed where I needed to go and that was that.

Until that is human me was stupid enough to keep talking.

"So I'm kind enough to give you a ride but your not kind enough to thank me or anything"

He had laughed a whole heartedly laugh, and turned to smile at me.

"My dear, I'm not the one stupid enough to pick up strangers. Now what is your name."

"Alice"

My heart stopped did he plan on killing me or something? What was his problem. He shifted in his seat so he was facing me.
"And what is your biggest fear Alice" he asked
"Dying in the war, never finding love, my mother dying. Now please get out I'm guessing this is your place or you wouldn't want to be here, I'm tired and my mother is waiting on me."

He tilted his head leaning towards me. Breathing in my scent like a weirdo. I blanched. He was hot but in no way in hell was I that stupid. I was only 17 and he looked to be around 25 or so.

"My dear there's far more to be scared about than that"
His hand went down and unbuckled my seatbelt. Causing me to spring away and hit my arm on the window as he chuckled now sitting on his knees facing me. His eyes turned dark as if he was fighting with himself looking me up and down.
"Darling I hope you live through this"
I had no time to think before his arms in trapped mine climbing to straddle my waist. He kissed my neck before gently sinking his teeth into the soft flesh below my jaw. I felt week, I felt lust. I wanted him to keep doing whatever the hell he was doing.
He pulled away wiping my blood with the back of his hand before putting his mouth on the opposite side of my neck and doing the same thing, only this time it hurt. Filling me with anger and defeat trying to push him off of me.
He pulled away gently wiping my tears that had formed. He then pushed himself into the other seat but not before cutting his wrist, and slamming it to my mouth. The taste was bitter at first, then sweet like honey.
I sucked in a few gulps before he removed his arm, wrapping his hands around my neck and making my world go black.

I snapped out of my daze of my past before realizing she was crying. Walking into her room I pulled out a bottle of milk cutting my wrist and placing a few drops of blood in it shaking it than putting the nipple on.
"Awh my sweet baby, it's okay" I numbered picking her up from her bassinet. Things were rough but I was about to flee again. As soon as night broke tomorrow I was leaving. I would no longer fear anything.
After she fell asleep her tiny breaths filling the room, I walked back to mine leaving her nightlight on, and both doors open. The daze began again.
I had awoke in the small cabin I had drove him to my head pounding and my throat so dry it felt like I swallowed a pack of razors.
"Your awake" he trailed off looking at me before pacing the room. I tried to speak but no words came out.
"what did you do to me" I groaned my voice sounded horrible. His head snapped to me the moment I let out a word. He smiled a genuine smile before speaking
" I have made you something similar to me, you see I didn't think this could be possible. I didn't even know they've been real until this point and now I've made you just like me"

"What do you mean just like you" I asked gently. This time his smile was sinister.
"A hybrid, although not exactly like me. I've been studying witchcraft. Which makes me far more powerful than any living thing in this world.
When I seen your heart and how big it was just to pick me off the side of the road, well that made me curious but for you to so viciously be rude after I had been so quiet also made me upset, but my dear Alice don't be mad for I have done this for a reason."

I was shocked what was I. Who was I had I changed any. Was he going to kill me now that I had known. Was he going to experiment on me. Would I ever get to see me family again. My mind raced.
