Standing infront of us he crossed his arms. Ivan was so mad he was practically giving off steam.

"Do you understand the amount of danger you two just put yourselves in?!?!"

He ushered for us to stand.
"You took on Hellhounds. WITHOUT TRAINING! You could have gotten yourselves killed! You were lucky there was only four and not a full pack of Hounds, they would have surrounded you and toyed with you till you eventually died of shock. Don't even get me started on what would happen to me if your adoptive parents found out..."

He began shudder and started sweating profusely.
"I perish the thought of their wrath..."

"I'm sorry... It was my idea to go into the forest. Torra didn't want me to go alone."

Torra shook his head.
"He's trying to protect me sir, it's both our faults."

"Regardless of who caused it you're both in trouble. But no punishments this time."

I gave him a questionable look.
"Why? We broke the rules and went out of the safe area!"
"Look boys, usually mages aren't as naturally talented as you two. I've never seen such progress in my twenty years of working as an agent for the school. I needed to gauge your skills in battle, but I couldn't find the time. I came put here to bring you two back from the forest the moment you walked out here but I heard those Hound and went to investigate first. That's when I found you two. I decided to stay out of sight and watch your battle."

He relaxed a little and uncrossed his arms.
"You boys have impressed me to a great degree. The way you play off each other, and your control over the elements you are connected to astounded me! Keep practicing, I give you two permission to spar and practice your skills against each other. The others will join you once I teach them as well. You boys remind me of my younger self."

Torra looked at me with a beaming smile, which wasn't normal for him.
"This is awesome!"
I tossed my arm over his shoulder and brought him close.
"Couldn't have said it any better Tor!"

Ivan chuckled to himself before waving us back to the inn.
"Lets get back inside kids. No more running into danger please. My heart can't take it anymore."
---
Waking up from a dreamless sleep I opened the blinds.

Looking out into the sky I saw a bunch of dark stormclouds hovering above us. My eyes caught smoke and following the trail lead me to Ivan sitting at a campfire, next to Kai.

Turning around I noticed Torra was already awake, his shoes were missing and his PJ's were neatly packed into his suitcase. Changing into actual clothes I slipped on my sneakers and left the room.

Noticing Brianna's door was cracked I opened it.

She sat at the table in the corner moving her hand back and forth. Looking over her shoulder made me smile.

She had an empty glass of water on the table. Hovering a couple inches above the empty glass was a sphere of water. She was making the sphere of water change into shapes, she could even make it look like a person.

"Wow that's pretty good Bri."

She jumped a little and the water smashed into the glass filling the cup, but not without splashing a little water on her shirt.
"Don't do that!!"

She stood and lightly pushed me.
"Did I scare you?"
I chuckled to myself as she made a pouty face.
"I'm trying to practice my magic before talking to Ivan about my training."
"Wait, you already know how to control your element?"
"Yeah, momma gave me a crash course. Did you know she has a water spirit?"
"No fair, you were always the favorite."
"I was the only one who didn't give her a headache."
"Whatever, i'm heading downstairs. Oh yeah, have you seen Torra?"
"He burst in here like ten minutes ago, Said he was gonna go train in the clearing next to the inn."
"Thanks Bri."
"Whatever bro."
