"Are you excited to find out who your gonna be paired up with?"
"Honestly I'm just itching to fight."
"I know right! Hope we get paired up so I can kick your ass."
"I'd like to see you try Torra..."
Camden let out a deep sigh.
"Anyone ever tell you guys how scary you are?"The teacher grabbed a bowl from a marble pedestal. Inside of the was several slips of paper. She handed everyone a slip of paper, Each slip had a number on it.
Seeing the number one made me excited. That means I'm first!
"What number did you get?"
"One, eat it Torra."Torra's face shriveled up in a frown.
"Not fair..."Torra had number 7.
Camden had 10.
"Thank you god!"
"Why are you so excited? You haven't been excused from fighting."
"Don't remind me..."Clearing her throat the teacher grabbed everyone's attention.
"I can tell everyone can tell what the numbers mean, allow me to elaborate. We only have access to one arena today, so we'll have to take turns one sparring match at a time. With that being said, everyone who doesn't have number one please enter the stands."
Everyone who didn't have my number walked up the stairs and into the stands. Crossing her arms Amanda stood across from me.
"Oh this should be interesting."
"Hope you can put up a fight Amanda."
"Oh you'd be surprised."Clearing her throat once more Mrs.Elora spoke up.
"Listen up you two, this is a sparring match, I will stop any spells considered lethal. If either of you tap out or I call the match its over. No more fighting after ok?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Rules haven't changed from Middle school."Three seconds passed like an eternity before Mrs.Elora spoke again.
"BEGIN!"
As soon as the teacher declared the start of the match Amanda lunged with her hands outstreched like claws. Slashing at me she shouted.
"Demon slash!"
I rolled left and landed on my feet.
"Big mistake..."She closed her hand into a fist, like a tinder box dark orange flames erupted from deep inside her fist. The flames exploded in a blaze, striking me in the chest.
"Blossoming Demonic flare!"
A brilliant Dark orange blaze slowly began to crawl across my chest.
Closing my eyes I braced for an intense burning sensation. But, after a few seconds I found that I felt nothing!
"Are you even trying Amanda?"
A look of shock hit her as I smiled wildly.
"W-What?""Cloak of Azure flame!"
My hand erupted into blue flames, grabbing the dark fire it turned the dark blue color of my flames.
"How the hell did you do that?"
"My flames are just stronger!"I rushed her, throwing a right hook she responded by lowering her stance. Sidestepping her fist erupted into dark orange flames. Striking me in the side she immediately jumped back. Blowing on her hand she spoke.
"Those are some intense flames. Guess I'll step up my game to..."
Five whisps of dark orange flame erupted to life, slowly floating above her head. Clenching her fists she raised her left hand.
"Fire and brimstone... Hellhounds burning roar!!"The flames surrounding her slowly changed color, growing darker and darker. Stopping at a crimson red color.
"Don't let those touch you Akito!"
