Taylor's P.O.V..
I could see Norman slowly bend down in front of me with a confused look on his face as he processed my rambling.
"What do you mean? Someone was watching us?" He asked quietly, looking in to my eyes as he scratched the back of his neck. Explaining the uneasy feeling I got when we left the apartment earlier and how I thought we were being watched, Norman finally understood.
Slowly wrapping my arms around my legs, I rested my head on top of my knees.
"Who do you think it is?" Norman questioned, pulling himself up and sitting softly beside me. Turning my head to face him, I gave him the 'Are you being serious' look before leaning back against the sofa. "Your Mom?" He asked, looking to me for an answer.
"Nope." I stated, shaking my head slightly.
Realization crossed Normans facial features as his fists clenched beside him, making me flinch back from him.
"James." He growled. I slowly began to nod my head, not being able to find my words. After a few minutes of just watching him stare down at the message, I reached over and pulled my phone from his hands.
I could feel Norman's eyes on me the whole time as I locked the phone and closed my eyes.
"Taylor.. Don't do this." He barely whispered, placing his hand on mine. Shaking my head slowly, I let out a deep breath and began to mumble random things under my breath.
"I don't know how much more of this I can take." I concluded, dropping back against the sofa behind me.
Lightly throwing my phone to the corner of the room, I tried to push every possible thought out of my head.
"Let's.. Just finish the film." I whispered. "You have to get Mingus soon anyway." I added, resting my head against his shoulder with a small sigh.
Silence filled the room for about thirty minutes but I could see Norman wanted to say something with him glancing in my direction every few minutes.
"What?" I asked, not even bothering to look in his direction. I kept my focus on the TV until he reached out and gently pulled my face to look at him.
The look of worry in Norman eyes told me exactly what he wanted to say, but I still waited to hear him out.
"You're shaking." He barely whispered, taking my hands in his. "You're not okay are you?" He added. At first I paused, trying to pull my hands out of his but it was absolutely no use.
"No.. I'm not." I admitted. "But, I really don't want to talk about it right now." I finished, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.
Norman nodded with a small frown but I could tell he didn't want to drop the subject. Just as we were about to settle back down on the sofa there was a light knock on the door.
"I'll get it.." Norman stated, stopping me in my tracks. "Just incase.." He added cautiously, moving past me and reaching out for the door handle.
Sitting on the arm of the sofa, I watched on as Norman slowly pulled the door open.
"Joe?" I questioned, recognizing my brothers voice immediately.
"Tays." He acknowledged quietly, walking past Norman and immediately wrapped his arms around my body. "I've missed you so much." Joe added, placing both hands on my cheeks and kissing my forehead.
I could see Norman slowly look up, clear his throat and open the door a bit more.
"I've got to go and get Mingus.." He announced quietly, moving towards me. "I'll see you later." He added softly after kissing my cheek and making his way to the door.
