Chapter 8

Y/N's Pov

I stop the horse and let it go as we approach the Legrue Corridor, the only path to the world tree.
Y/N: This is the only way, we can't fly or climb over these mountains
I start to walk in, creating a ball of light in my hand. Leafa holds my free hand as we continue walking. I've switched back to my heavy armor since the incident at Butterfly Valley. I still have my helmet off. I've gotten more comfortable having my helmet off when I'm not in combat. I hear the squeak of a bat. I pull Leafa against the wall and use illusion magic to make us look like the wall. It comes around the corner and it's eyes are glowing bright red.
Y/N: Sh*t. That's a high level tracer.
I throw a knife at it, killing it. I grab Leafa's hand and start running. We reach the bridge and realize that there's a group of Salamanders between us and the bridge. The man who I can only assume is the leader steps forward.
Leader: You humiliated Kagumine and his lancers, now you'll pay with your life.
I equip my helmet and draw my sword. I begin chanting under my breath as my armor gets heavy since I buffed it.
Y/N: Over my corpse.
I charge at the group of mages, slicing down many of them but I get hit by some others. I soon realize more keep showing up.
Y/N: Gleam smash!
I jump into the air as my sword grows to twice its normal size as I continuously slice the mages, killing them all. But more come. I raise my hands and begin chanting below my breath...
