This was it. This is what I had been dreaming of for as long as I could remember.

Finally standing in front of the large skyscraper that seemed to graze the Seoul skyline made everything feel more real than I had initially thought. But nothing would stand in my way to reach the top. Wearing black suit pants and a tan buttoned blouse (also known as my idea of professional clothing), I entered the glass building with a bag filled with notes and lyrics from over the years, the events of the night before replaying themselves in my mind.

—————

With a buzz, my phone had begun to vibrate on my bed, distracting me from whatever bachelor was breaking some sad girl's heart  on my laptop. An unknown number was displayed on the screen, and like any other normal girl, I ignored the call at first, redirecting my attention back to the screen.

A few minutes had passed when my phone vibrated again, the same number displayed on the screen. Annoyed, I hastily picked up the phone and muttered an annoyed "Hello?".

"Hello, is this Yoo Jina?" A very deep and attractive male voice on the other line took me by surprise as I immediately sat up. "Yes, this is she. Who's calling?"

The man let out a deep chuckle that shook me to my core. "Congratulations, your song submissions was chosen. The CEO enjoyed it very much and would like for you to come to the entertainment tomorrow to start."

It took a moment for his words to even be processed by my burnt out brain, but once they had, I couldn't help but yell at the good news. As I was quickly apologizing to the bearer of my good news, Mina had barged into the room moments after, confused and worried. After filling her in on the situation, she had become just as ecstatic as I was. "We're breaking out the red wine for this!" and off she went to find the one bottle of alcohol in her apartment that she would never let anyone touch, but who was I to stop her.

After taking a deep breath in, I was able to somewhat walk in a straight line to the front desk, only to be greeted by an attractive man dressed in a form fitted suit with his hair slicked back.

I couldn't help but stare at him; correction, anyone with working eyeballs couldn't help but stare at him. It was quite obvious to tell that this man was handsome. Once he finally noticed my stunned presence, he smiled brightly, extending his arm out for a handshake.

"You must be Yoo Jina. I'm Lee Minsung, assistant to the CEO. We spoke on the phone last night. Congratulations on winning the contest."

A dimple popped out of his cheek with his smile, which only made me even more in love with this man. A small blush crept over my face as I took his hand to return the gestured. I still was not used to hearing people think so highly of your work. "Thank you. It took me by surprise as well."
