Once you came to that sudden realization, the rest of your body began to react. Tears started to fall down and stain your face as you buried it in your hands. You could hear Minsung curse under his breath before a hand gently gripped you chin and lift your face up.

There you saw Minsung leaning in front of you, a reassuring smile on his face. His contagious smile caused you to do the same as you wiped away your tears, ruining the makeup your sister had spent over an hour on. "Jina, I think I should take you home"

You shook your head vigorously, your gaze hitting the floor. "I can't go home. My sister would worry and she deserves to be alone with her husband." Minsung nodded before asking "Is there anywhere else I could drop you off at? A friend maybe?"

Letting out a shaky exhale, you shook your head again. "Everyone I know is busy tonight. I don't want to bother them with my problems." You began to play with you finger when you felt a weight on your shoulders. Turning, you noticed it was Minsung's suit jacket with Minsung standing in front of you, a hand extended for you to take.

"If it's okay with you, I'll take you over to my house. I have a guest bedroom that you can use."

Considering your options, you decided to accept as you placed your hand in his and the two of you headed out through a side exit. Once outside the venue, Minsung led you to a side road nearby before turning back to you. "You wait here. I'll go pick up my car and then we can go"

Nodding you watched the man run back into the venue as you clutched his jacket tighter around you. Taking a sniff of his cologne, you softly smiled to yourself.

'Smells like Minsung...'

A few minutes had passed when a familiar black car pulled up beside you. The passenger window rolled down to reveal the man you were waiting for. "Hop in." Opening the passenger door, you sat down in his car as the two of you drove off. The entire ride was quiet. Minsung didn't want to pry, so he focused solely on making sure you were okay for the rest of the night.

Finally, the car pulled into the garage of a large apartment complex. After parking, the two of you exited the car and headed straight towards the elevator. One silent elevator ride and the two of you ended up in front of Minsung's apartment. Unlocking his door, he stepped aside, allowing you to enter first.

Upon entering his house, Minsung pointed down one of the halls. "That's the guest bedroom. The room to its left is the bathroom. I'll get you some towels and clothes to change into."

Nodding, you watched as Minsung headed towards another room as you took this opportunity to finally take off his suit jacket and place it on the couch. After waiting for a bit, Minsung came back with a large towel and folded women pyjamas on top.

You knitted your eyebrows in confusion and Minsung picked up on it right away. "These are my sister's. She sleeps over a lot so she leaves a bunch of things behind. You can use it for the night." You thanked him before entering the bathroom. Washing off away the stained makeup off your face, you headed straight for the bathtub, prepared to unwind after the stressful night you had.

Once you took a long needed shower and changed, you exited the guest bedroom to see Minsung in the living room. It was the first time you saw him wearing something other than a suit.

He had on a white t-shirt with basketball shorts. His hair that was usually gelled up was down covering his forehead. Waiting for you on the table in front of the couch were two tubs of ice cream and a large bowl of popcorn.

Finally noticing your presence, Minsung gestured you to sit as he handed you a spoon. "I felt that the best way to get over your emotions was to eat through them. It was something my sister did a lot but I don't know if it works." Letting out a laugh, you nodded as you grabbed one of the tubs of ice cream. "The best way to make a girl happy is through food."

A deep chuckle erupted from Minsung's chest as he proceeded to do the same, playing a random movie he saw on his television. Once the two had eaten through all that food, Minsung paused the movie before turning towards you with a serious expression.

"Do you want to talk about tonight? It looked like you were in a tough situation."

Letting out a sigh, you threw your head back against the couch to look up at the ceiling. "Half of me knew that this was going to happen. I was able to learn a bit about Hongjoong's past, so this was to be expected at some point."

"And the other half?"

Looking back at Minsung, you felt your eyes water as a single tear got out and ran down your cheek. "The other half hoped that it wouldn't happen and that I would be enough. I guess I wasn't." Stifling out a laugh, you wiped away your tears before looking down at your hands.

"I was going to tell him that I had feelings for him tonight. You want to know what the funny part was?" Minsung shook his head as you continued. "I hated him over two months ago and now I can't get him out of my head."

Minsung smiled as he pulled you in to a tight hug, caressing your head to calm you down. "That's love Jina. It's unexpected and shows up at the weirdest times. But when you except it, it's the best feeling in the world."

Shifting in his arms, you looked up at Minsung. "Have you ever been in love?" With a chuckle, he nodded his head as he looked to the side, reminiscing his story. "It was with a girl who was determined and headstrong. If she wanted something, she would let nothing get in her way. But she was also sensitive. She kept all her emotions in so that she wouldn't bother anyone. She always put others first."

You felt your eyelids becoming heavier, slowly falling asleep. Before you could fully doze off, you managed to mutter "What happened?". Minsung noticed your tired behaviour as he carefully lifted you up and headed straight towards the guest bedroom. Once he put you down and placed the covers on top of you, he looked down at the floor with a sad smile.

"She fell in love with someone else."
