Nick POV:

My day started off like they usually do, go to a couple casinos, win some poker games, so on so forth.

I decided to go down south and ride some riverboat cruises and get some rich, unlucky bastard's paycheck. It's my way of life, how I get money to pay for my all my overdue debts and taxes.

Yeah I know it's assholey but I mean this $12,000 white, brand new cashmere suit isn't gonna dry clean it's self right? I mean I also owe money to some guys I "borrowed" it from back in Boston to so yeah, why not kill to birds with one stone?

As I rode down the highway to the riverboat dock I saw some people who looked exceptionally pale and stumbled around as if they were chasing me.

"Jeez, I guess Marti Graz was really crazy this year ... what people will do to have a good time." I mumbled to myself. What was odd though was that if it was Marti Graz why isn't there throw up, beads and beer bottles everywhere?

I shrugged it off and continued driving to my destination. Hell, if I win a bunch a games I could have my own damn Marti Graz... I still kept seeing odd stuff on my way to the riverboats like abandoned police cars and roadblocks at every corner.

That's when I saw this one sign and got out of my Audi to check it out. "CAUTION!", it read, "DO NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH INFECTED INDIVIDUALS, EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY TO NEAREST EVAC BUILDING".

Wait, what the fuck was going on here? Then it said that the area was overrun with the virus. Wait a minute, that must be that new "Green Flu" virus I heard about on the news last night!

I really didn't think that much of it and I kinda fell asleep considering the news is boring. "Oh god, I better get the hell outta here!" I said.

I turned around to run to my car and saw those people who I thought were hungover Marti Graz dumbasses coming straight towards me growling and screeching bearing bloody mouths.

But they weren't some dumbass partiers, they were... well... zombies...
