Time Skip--

I panted and slumped down on the ground. For the past few hours we have been running. And running, and running........ and more running. I was wore down to the last bit of strength and I couldn't take another step. Bait trotted a few steps ahead but stopped hearing me lay down on the ground.

"Sky?" He growled to me from his spot ,looking down at me with pity.

"T-too.... tired." I panted and looked up at him, asking for help. He walked over to me, and sat down next to me with a small smile. Patting my head with a his hand and leaning down to look into my eyes.

"We're almost there. Come on! You can do it, my little huntress." He said it quitely, almost like someone was listen in on us. He stood back up and watched as I struggled to roll to my feet. But it seemed like the ground beneath me was not there. Bait caught me before I hit the ground again, with a frown.

"I guess you are worn out. I'll carry you then! We have to get there before nightfalls." I groaned and felt his arms pick up in a strong hold, and we were moving again.

"Bait...?" He plaused for a second and looked down at me.

"Yes?" I frowned and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Where are we going?" I asked, quitely. He smiled and hugged me tighter.

"To my temporary home. Its safe from all the.... others." He continued walking, straight towards a large building. It towered over most of the others.... it was quite a sight. The light was disappearing as we got closer, and when we got to the doors it was completely gone. He setting me down on my feet and gently pushed the door open. It spinned in a circle.... and kept coming back. I stared at it as it did so...soooo.....Fascinating. Suddenly Bait disappeared through the doors.

"Wait! How do I get through?!" I yelled to him through the spinning door. He chuckled and suddenly a hand grabbed my wrist, pulling me through the door. I squeaked and stared up a a calm cool Bait.

"The only kind of flesh eatter in here are the ones not turned yet, or the humans that got stuck in here." He quickly glanced around and then motioned me to follow him. I did, like a lost puppy. He walked through the dark silent halls without a care, making as much noise as he wanted. I started to gain a glare as we went up the floor that looked bumpy. We climbed up for what seemed like forever, which wore me out even more. I did stop.... a lot. And Bait was starting to lose his patience with me.

"Sky! This is the eighth time. Are you sure you don't want me to carry you?"

"I--m..... fine...."

His offer sounded too good at the moment but I didn't want to lug him down with me. He stared at me with caring eyes and suddenly bent down, grabbing me. Before I knew it I was on his back and he was trudging up the rough looking floor again.

"Y-you don't .... have to do... this. I... can walk..." I felt him chuckle a little.

"No. Your too weak. You can barely talk.... Let me help you." He said, and gently patted my calf. I held on tighter and found comfort in being so close to him, maybe..... that's how Marie felt when she was snuggled against me. Marie..... I miss her..... I knew her for two sunrises and she died at the hands of my own kind. Why is this world so violent?! Can we not get along?

Bait kicked a door open as he ran out of rising floors to walk up. When the door opened, I was struck by awe.

The whole room was open. Windows let the room see everything below it and around it outside. White couches sat in the middle of it, surrounding a huge screen... or Tv I guess. On one side there was other doors leading to rooms and the walls were brightly colored. A kitchen, bigger than Marie's and open, was on the other side of the room. Bait walked over to one of the room and opened it with a little difficulty, all while still smiling. I glanced around the room he opened and was struck again by struck with deep awe. There was a big blue soft looking square thing up against the walk in front of us. To the right, a very large window (covered up). The walls were decorated with different kinds of pictures, something else Marie told me about. Humans found that they are good at something called art. I'm guessing this is what it is. Bait sighed and laid me down on the square, and gave me a small smile.
