(Percy POV)

Im surprised, really, at how long the power had been lasting. I reach into Faiths fridge and grab eggs, bacon, sausage, and butter. I grab a few pans along with bread and get to work. After 14 minutes or so of working the power goes out. Not completely unexpected, but still unfortunate nonetheless. Good thing I finished everything but the drinks. I grab out 5 cups and 5 sets of plates and forks. Carefully, I put everything on each plate, then grab some milk out of the fridge, and fill each cup. Picking up a few plates I place them at the kitchen table followed by all the drinks. Walking slowly I make my way to the bedroom.
"Wake up nerds, breakfasts ready!" I say, turning back to go into the kitchen. After 5 minutes they slowly start emerging from their cave ready for food. As everyone took a seat I glanced back over at Kyu.
"Do you know what store your parents went to?" I murmur, she hums.
"Walmart, so yeah, the closest store." She returns to eating just like the rest of us. I head back to the room and put everything back into the backpack.
"Alright, guess we're walking to Walmart." I mutter, turning to face everyone. An idea pops into my mind, even without cars theres plenty of ways to get around.
"Kyu, do you have any bikes?" I ask turning to her abruptly. She smiles and starts walking to a door across from the kitchen. It looked to be a large garage, and on the other side there sat 2 bikes, both mountain bikes. Kyu grabbed what I presumed to be her bike then motioned me over for the other. I quickly shook my head, so Kyu motioned for HC. HC walked over and hopped on the bike, it being a perfect fit.
"I have 2 bikes at my house, and Imara can just sit on my shoulders." I say glancing at everyone. Guess it's time to go through the pain of getting back to my house. Kyu looked at us all with a thumbs up and pressed a button on the side, opening the garage doors, alerting all those things.
"SHIT, RUN!" Kyu practically yells at the top of her lungs. I get Imara on my shoulders and make a mad dash for my house, dodging those things left and right. HC was in the lead, one hand on the bike other hand holding a gun and shooting anything that might be in Meri and I's way. The people on bikes pulled into my house, opening the door and rushing inside, after 30 or so seconds Meri was inside and I followed. I ran inside and slammed the door shut, leaning on it after.
"HOLY-SHIT-FUCK THAT WAS AWESOME!" Kyu yells, not caring about volume. I sigh in relief as I let Imara down off my shoulders. I cast Kyu a look and again, she just smiles.
"So, let me at them juicy bikes!" She says clapping her hands together.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imara got on my shoulders as I hopped on my bike. The garage opened, exposing at least 2 times the amount of zombies we saw before. HC was again shooting at them with one hand and somehow controlling the bike with the other. There had to be at least 30 of those things by the time we we're even near where the roads broke apart. We all turned left glancing back at the hoard following us. We turned more corners, gaining and losing those nasty things, but overall the group size was getting smaller.
After around 13 minutes of biking, I start noticing we're around maybe 5 minutes away from the actual store. At this point only 10 or so of those things followed, and at a slow pace. Imara seemed to be getting tired, so I pulled away into a forest, everyone following with confused glances. HC turned back and tried her best to shoot those things, hitting around half of them. I reach a stop and pull out my gun, following HC's steps, and helping her take out those creatures. Soon they seemed to all be dead, but of course the occasional one appeared out in the woods we stopped in. I gathered everyone up, while they were still there.
"Be very quiet, stay here, if more of those things use something thats not as loud as a gun." I whisper, they give me a confused glance, but just shrug it off. I walk up a short cliff, maybe a little taller than me, that was the road leading to the store. Everyone silently kept watch, giving each other the occasional confused glance. I wrapped the tips of my fingers over the concrete and hauled myself up enough to see the store. I let go, almost tumbling down, and run back to my group.
"You guys might wanna see this.."
