Chapter 4

The quartet stared in shock at the name. After a while, Fred asked," Isn't that the 3rd year Boys dormitory?" Harry nodded silently. "Good. We know where he is hidden for now. Boys do not do anything. I am going to write a letter to my parents. I'll ask them to come here tomorrow. Then we will sit down and have a chat, okay?" said Daphne. The three boys nodded. "Till tomorrow then. Harry promise me you won't go looking for the rat." "I promise you Daph. I do not like it but I promise I won't go Rat Hunting." said Harry. "Good." said Daphne as she turned to leave. "Daph, wait!" said Harry. She turned with an inquisitive look. "Heiress Greengrass, allow me to escort you to the Serpent Lair." said Harry with the most formal look he could muster. "Will do Heir Potter. Scions Weasley would you like to accompany us? As chaperones, of course." "Will do Heiress Greengrass." said the Twins, pompously. "Someone needs to protect Heir Potter from the big bad snakes." Laughing the four went to the Slytherin Common room corridor to drop Daphne.

The next day

The next day, Lord Cyrus Greengrass and his wife Lady Isabella Greengrass appeared outside the gate of Hogwarts where they were seen by Hagrid. "Cyrus, Bella? What are ya doin' here?" asked Hagrid. "House Greengrass Business Hagrid. We would like to talk to Minerva and Severus." said Cyrus. Nodding, Hagrid opened the gate. Both Greengrasses walked towards the castle, when a blonde missile came at them in full speed and barreled into them. "I think our daughter is happy to see us, Bella." smirked Cyrus. "Methinks the same Husband dearest." smiled Isabella. "Hush Daddy." said Daphne as she hugged her mother. Four figures entered Isabella's line of sight. Two with red hair were the Weasleys, One was her nephew while the fourth looked like her best friend, the brother she lost. "James?" she asked as her eyes filled with tears. "Hello Lady Greengrass, my name is Harry. Harry Potter." said Harry, awkwardly. "Cygnus? What are you doing here?" came a voice from behind them.  "Moony? is that you?" asked Cygnus, incredulously. " Yes it is me Cyg. You did not answer my question." said Remus. "Came to visit my daughter." said Cygnus. " What are you doing here?" "I teach DADA here." said Remus. "Good. Let's go to the Shack. We need to talk." said Cygnus as he waved his wand and a white bear flew inside the castle. As they reached the Whomping Willow, Minerva McGonagall came from behind them. "Hello Professor McGonagall." said Isabella. "Hello Isabella. Messers Potter, Weasley and Longbottom. Miss Greengrass, Remus." said Minerva. "Minerva, do you smell something?" asked Cygnus. " I smell a wet dog." she said as they climbed inside the Whomping Willow. "Good. I am relieved he is here." said Cygnus as the group climbed up to the room. The group saw a door and entered it. On the bed inside was a black Dog. As soon as it saw the group, it began whimpering and made to move back. "Halt, Padfoot. We're not here to capture you." Said Cygnus as he held up his hands. "Cygnus, Isabella, who is that?" Asked Minerva. "Why don't you turn back, Padfoot?" Asked Isabella. The dog turned back into the escaped Azkaban Prisoner Sirius Black. Minerva quickly pointed her wand at the Man and covered the 5 kids. "Cygnus, Isabella, Remus, explain yourself and fast." Said Minerva furiously. "Professor McGonagall, wait. Let me show you something." Said Harry and quickly removed a piece of Parchment and tapped his wand on it saying," I solemnly swear that I'm upto no good." The map activated and Harry showed her the room they were currently standing in. She gasped when she saw Peter Pettigrew on the map. She said," This map is lying." "No professor. The map never lies. James made it so." Said Remus quitely. "Remus John Lupin, you better explain fast." She said. "As you may know, I'm a werewolf. My best friends James Potter, Sirius Black, Cygnus Greengrass and Peter Pettigrew never failed to notice whenever i was gone. After studying the signs and everything, they approached me and told me everything they knew. I thought they would think of me as a monster. But the only thing Sirius said was that what kind of monster folds his socks Remus? They studied animagus transformation. 5th year they managed it. James was a Stag, Sirius a Black Dog, Peter a Rat and Cygnus a Bear. That's how we wrote the map. Since James was the heir of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, he managed to tap into the wards so that they would let us know who was whom." Finished Remus. "Okay. So does this mean that Peter was the secret keeper?" Asked Minerva. "Yes Minerva." Nodded Sirius. "Okay. Wait. Expecto Patronum." She said as her cat came out. "Go to Amelia Bones and tell her to come to the Shack. Now." Sirius gulped at the thought of seeing his Fiancee.

Line break

The next day the students were abuzz with the news that Sirius Black was innocent and that he had taken the mantle of Lord Black again alongwith the Guardianship of Harry Potter. Over at the Slytherin table, Draco Malfoy, sat morose. His claim to the Lordship of the Black Family, gone.
Meanwhile, Harry was heard telling Hermione about the change in his guardianship.
