Erased Memories

"Miss, im very sorry but I bring bad news" the nurse said we voice shaky and eyes watery

"the nerve wave that caused his brain to shut off was powerful enough to erase his memories he won't know who you are and he barely remembered his name, so please don't pressure him too much" the nurse pleaded

"No you're lying , now tell me he's okay, come on please just say he's okay just stop the act just tell me he's going to be fine " Brenda sobbed

The nurse shook her head and tears slowly dripped down her cheeks "I'm very sorry"

Brenda nodded as she ran her fingers through her hair "alright can I see him?" she asked

"Yea" the nurse said and steeped to the side letting her pass

"Thank you" Brenda whispered as she walked by

She arrived to the room in which Matt was staying in and her hand trembled as she turned the knob

"Hey Matt"she said and tried to smile
Her tears building up again

"Hello?" Matt answered which sounded more like a question

"I'm Brenda" she said and her voice cracked as she introduced herself to the person that has known her since preschool

"Hey, do I know you?" he asked while showing his amazing bright smile

Brenda sobbed "yes, you do"

"This might be a very awkward question to ask but , um" Matt said scratching his head while blushing a bit "were you my girlfriend? or um what?" he asked embarrassed

Brenda blushed a little and murmured under her breath "I wish" then she cleared her throat "um no I wasn't , we are best friends" she said

"Oh" Matt chuckled "so since we are best friends , I guess , um what things did we used to do?"

Brenda felt her depression coming again and her tears about to spill "funny you ask since when ,umh, you were asleep , or um in coma I read to you everything we used to do, and during my whole day all I did was wake up come visit go eat then go home shower maybe go for a walk and then come visit again to read" she said her voice shaky

"Matt , um can I hug you?" she asked with her voice cracking

"Yea come here" Matt said and smiled as he stuck is arms out then scotched and patted the spot next to him

Brenda sat next to him and cried onto his shoulder and Matt just hugged back he felt a connection with Brenda he felt like he needs to be there for her to stay with her

Little does he know is that he loves her

"Can you read to me?" he asked with hope

Brenda chuckled "yea" she sniffled and reached for her journal that was on the chair

"We were watching the movie ,'if I stay',and I had been crying you teased me about it and I hit you with my pillow which you then pinned me down and tickled me and you asked me to kiss you in exchange for you to stop tickling me I refused but you kissed me anyways and I kissed back ,Matt"

"Well I don't regret kissing you"Matt winked

"I shouldn't spend time trying to recover our old memories we should be making new ones" She smiled

"Agreed" he said kissed her without hesitating And Brenda kissed back

She then heard the guys down the hall and she pulled apart and smiled as she stood up "I'll go tell them to come in small groups"

"Okay" he said and gave a small smile "wait" he pulled me back and gave her another quick kiss

"Matt!" Brenda blushed

"I love you" he said as she walked out

"You don't know how many times I said that to you when you were in coma" she smiled

"Guys he's awake!" she said

"Really!" cam said excited

Everyone seemed happy except Logan he knew that Brenda love Matt , he would do anything to get Brenda to love him and that's exactly his plan to get rid of anything in his way and unfortunate Matt is in his way...
