I clutched my phone to my chest, I spotted it on my desk in my bedroom and grabbed it before running out. My feet pushed off the sidewalk with a powerful force as I sprinted towards the police station which was a few stores away from my work. When I got there, I slowed down and took a deep breath before I opened the door.

When I told an Officer what was going on, they took me to see Officer Heito again. I nodded lightly, too excited to see her again.

Me and some officer stood outside her office door after knocking, waiting for a good minute til she opened it and let us in.

She looked the same as when I last saw her, vibrant and mischievous. "What a surprise to see you here again, do you need to report something?"

"Yes, I-" I looked at the random officer and cut my sentence short. "Could we please talk in private, Heito?"

Officer Heito waved off the other officer and they left. Heito brought me into her Office and closed the door, "Now what were you saying, dear?"

I ignore her calling me dear and go on with what I came her to say. "I just saw Kent again," I whine out, my bottom lip quivering as I looked past Dakota.

"Where did you see him? At your work?" She quickly responded, guiding me to sit down. I sat, steadying my breathing.

"He came to my house," I shutter, "H-he pinned me down- but I got away.. and I, well I..now I'm here."

Dakota thought for a moment. "How did he get in?"

I sigh, "He knocked and I opened the door."

"We should have informed you that he escaped sooner, but he's only been gone for minutes. I guess he went straight to your apartment."

Dakota stopped in anguish, "I need to ask.. how far did he go?"

"He didn't get too far, I got away before the worst could happen." I rubbed my hands together uncomfortably. I'm just glad I was able to tell her about what happened.

After a few more questions, Dakota stood up and started pacing. Thinking of what should be said. I stand too, blocking her path so that she'd stop pacing.

"I'm okay, I'm just glad I told you, it makes me feel better that you know.." I breathe raggedly, biting my lip. The shock washed away and now I'm left with sudden realization of what could have happened if I was stuck with him minutes longer. I need to clear my head.

I glance back at Mrs. Heito with a distant look. "Could we maybe meet up sometime soon? Like for coffee?" I ask lightly, hoping she'd casually say yes.

Officer Heito raised her eyebrows, "Yeah of course! I mean, yeah I'll text or call you when I'm free." She pauses, "Are you sure you're up to it? 'Cause so much has gone down with you and-"

"I just want to take my mind off of it," I mumble, stepping closer to her. We lock eyes and she nods.

"Okay, as you wish, June." Dakota bites her lip, "I'll give you a bit to calm down and besides I still have to work. Maybe you could walk around the square or wait in the police station. You could hang out here in my office till the end of my shift. Would that be okay?"

I nod, sitting on the little couch in her office. I'm too scared to go out on my own right now. Good thing I snatched my phone before getting out of my house.

Song: Daughters, John Mayer

After an hour or so, Dakotas work day was finished and that meant an early dinner for the both of us. I had calmed down quite a bit and was itching to talk with Dakota more.
