Chapter 2 - Basically a Kegger.

Hey mom?" I ask, "Yeah, sweetie?" She responds. "This is gonna sound weird but... have there been any... I don't know, animal attacks... recently?" I ask nervously. "Uh, why?" "J-Just wondering." I say quickly.

"Well, yes in fact. One last night. A couple. One 22 and one 24. I hate to see such young peoples lives ended." She says.

"Hm... y-yeah. That's horrible." I say. I start to walk to my room when Caroline stops me, half way there. "Remember, we're meeting Bonnie in two hours." She says.

"Does Mom know?"

"Oh my god, yes. Everything is set." She exclaims, annoyed. "Okay. I'll be ready." I say smiling and walking the rest of the way to my room.

"Y/n," Caroline says bursting into my room. "We're leaving in ten. Meet me in my car." I nodded and she walked out.

I touch up my makeup in the mirror and walk out of my room, purse in hand. I walk out to Caroline's car and get into the passenger seat. "Are you excited?!?!" She asks excitedly. "Sure." I say smiling. "Me too. I'm hoping Mr. Salvatore makes an appearance." She says.

"Mr. Salvatore..?" I say confused. "Oh, yeah. The new guy, his name is-" "...Stefan Salvatore.." I say cutting her off. "Yeah! Isn't he gorgeous?"

"Yeah...he's pretty hot." I say chuckling.

She chuckles too. Soon enough we get to The Grill and go in. "Hey! You guys are here!" Bonnie says waking over to us. "Yup! Just on time!" Caroline says proudly. "Okay, so the new kid?" Bonnie asks and immediately Caroline starts talking.

"His name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his uncle at the Salvatore boarding house. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family. They moved around a lot. He's a Gemini, and his favorite color is blue." She blurts out. "Jesus," I comment.

"You got all that all of that in one day?" Bonnie asks giggling, but she seemed kinda... scared of how much Caroline knew. I think I am too. "I got all that between third and Fourth period. We're planning a June wedding." She says, I scoff. 

We follow Bonnie over to a table that she had already been sitting at with Matt. Just as Caroline has guessed, Matt, Tyler, and Vicki were all here. No Elena yet, but Jeremy seemed to be here too. I sat down at the table.

"Hey Matty," I say. Me and Matt has gotten super close after my parents got divorced and his mom was at a... low point before she left. We were basically siblings. Sometimes I felt closer to him than to my actual twin.

"Hey." He says, rubbing my shoulder. "I'm gonna go say hi to Ty." Care says as she runs off. It's silent for a second before Matt speaks up.

"How's Elena?" He asks. "Matt..." "I'm asking as a friend." He's quick to answer. "Her mom and dad died. How do you think? She's putting on a good face." Bonnie says, leaning in closer to us so she wouldn't have to talk as loud.

"It's only been four months." I say and Bonnie nods. "H-Has she...said anything about me?" He asks. "Dude." "Oh no. Me and Y/n are not getting in the middle of this." Bonnie says. "Yeah. You gotta call her," I say.

"I feel weird calling her. She broke up with me..." He says, I sigh. Their love life was such a wreck. I think he was just more in it than she was. "Give it more time, Matt."

As Bonnie finishes her sentence, Elena walks in... with Stefan. I quickly look the other way, it's not that I'm afraid... no actually, I'm very afraid. He could literally rip my head off.
