My name is Ryan. I'm just a simple scientist who works at a lab. Through out my entire life I used to never believe in the impossible, but then I became the impossible.

This is my story.

"Ryan, is the energy generator online?" a woman asks

"Ryan, is the energy generator online?" a woman asks. I look at my computer, "all systems are online, Emily. Are we ready for testing?" I hear no response. I turn to her watching her stare at the tv. Emily grabs the remote and turns up the volume. "The Flash has yet again saved the city from crime," a news reporter says. "I can't help but notice you always have the tv on when they mention the Flash," I say. She turns it off, "sorry it's just very interesting knowing someone is faster than a speeding bullet." "I think he's full of crap. He probably has something in his suit that allows him to go that fast." "What about Black Canary?" "She probably has a chip on her neck that let's her do that sonic scream." Emily rolls her eyes, "no wonder you became a scientist." I look up at her, "well sorry if I have trouble believing the unique abilities they have is from a supernatural coincidence." "There's been more than enough supernatural things going around that should prove to you maybe the impossible is possible." "Oliver Queen invented a suit of armor that let's him fly and shrink. Maybe people like the Flash just use tech like his." She shakes her head, "let's just agree to disagree and get this test started." I look back at my computer to make sure everything is set, "looks like we're good to go." "Good, let's see if years of inventing paid off." I press a button to turn it on but nothing is happening. "Did you activate it?" Emily asks. "The computer says it's active." "Why isn't it doing anything then?" I get up and walk over to the machine to see if there's anything wrong with it. All of a sudden it makes a massive explosion before I could even touch it. I fly back against the wall with burns all over my body.

I wake up in a strange red void. I slowly sit up as I look around. "Is this hell?" I ask myself. My eyes widen from the sound of my voice. It was hard to believe that demonic sound came from my lips. "You're finally awake," someone says. I look around and see a man hidden in the shadows of the void. "Who are you? Where am I?" "Do not ask any further questions. I will explain everything." "Please do." "What you are experiencing is the start of a second life. I gave you this opportunity." "So you're telling me you turned me into this? INTO THIS MONSTER?!!" "I had to in order to help billions in the future." "What happens in the future?" His right hand glows blue and a holographic picture comes out of his hand. The picture is too blurry and glitchy to see. "I am a monitor of the multiverse. It's my duty to look over all the earths and all the pasts, presents, and possible futures but I can't tell what will happen during the upcoming crisis." "I find it hard to believe the multiverse theory is real and I fail to believe there's a crisis coming." "I understand you are not one to believe Ryan, but I gave you a second life so you could help save the multiverse. You were given an extraordinary power to run faster than a speeding bullet." "So I'm a knockoff of the Flash?" "You are nothing like Barry Allen. You're more sinister but reasonable." "I'm not a sinister monster." "Three years ago, you robbed Queen Tech to get the parts you needed for the energy generator." "Wait did you say Barry Allen is the Flash? As in the Barry Allen who survived on a Chinese island for 5 years?" "We're not talking about the same Barry Allen, but we will soon." "What do you mean?" "You'll be able to talk normally when you take your mask off. That is all the information I am able to tell you," he says then disappears. Everything suddenly goes black.
I wake up still seeing nothing but darkness. I squirm around realizing I'm in a body bag. I calm down then I put my hands on the plastic. My hands start vibrating and phase through the plastic. "What the hell?!" I say in shock as I move my hands back inside the bag. I put my feet on the plastic and they do the same thing. Soon my whole body vibrates and I slowly start to sit up. As I sit up I phase through the plastic bag. I get up but then I fall down phasing through the ground. I stop vibrating as I roll on the street. I quickly get up and watch the truck that was holding me drive away. "What's happening to me?" I now realize my voice still sounds demonic. I take my mask off since that's what that monitor guy told me to do in order to talk normal, "this is so weird." I put my mask back on then I start running on the street. It's amazing, I'm able to run just as fast as the Flash. I run faster and faster until I stop at my lab. The lab was nothing but ash now. All of this happens and I never stopped to wonder what happened to Emily. Did she become a speedster like me? I hear the echoes of a woman scream from a few blocks away. I run over to see what was wrong but it didn't take long to find the problem. A giant red wave moves towards us. I watch as some civilians disappear into the void. I turn around and run for my life. I turn my head back and watch it come closer, "come on Ryan." I start running faster and faster until I suddenly disappear.
