Bakugou x Reader

Hey guys! So me and my friend will be writing fanfics here from now on so yeah^^

The last bell of the day rang as you finished getting ready to leave. You didn’t really have any plans with anyone for the day so you thought it would be cool, but no.  Of course Mina had to stop and drag you somewhere.

You and Mina knew each other for 7 years now and you two were the best of friends. And because you two were such good friends you even took the U.A. high exam so you two could be together. Honestly, it was a win-win situation for you. You didn’t think you really would get in though.

You see, most of the time you think that your quirk is very lame and useless. I mean, how strong could be the power to control every non-living thing in the world to the last of their atoms and beyond. Well, apparently you did. And it was ridiculous. Mina had always tried to tell you that just because you can’t see the way your quirk works, doesn’t make it lame nor weak but her attempts have all been for naught for you truly couldn’t believe that you were, in fact, crazy strong.

So imagine the shock Bakugou had when you introduced yourself as weak and then whooped some serious ass. At first he thought that you were just an another extra, nothing special. Just an another extra that he will destroy to become number one. She couldn’t stop him or hinder him in any way or shape. At least that’s what he thought but BOY, was he wrong.

So back to present, Mina is currently dragging you to the mall with him to hang out with the squad as usual. It was a last minute decision -or so you and Bakugou thought- made by ‘Shitty hair’ and as much as he struggled to get this ‘extra’ off of him, damn was he persistent. Both Mina and Kirishima had noticed the way you two feel each other, even though you both are probably still in denial, so they decided that they would help you two to take the ‘first baby step’ to your to-be-relationship.

They took it slow. At first Sero said that he had to go to the toilet. Afterwards, Mina said that she saw an attractive boy and ran away. At last Kaminari and Kirishima said that they had will go and buy food for the group, which left Bakugou and (Y/N) all alone. But it wasn’t as awkward as some would think.

Believe it or not you two had an amazing chemistry going that none of you noticed. You both- even him- respected and acknowledged each other for the other one’s s power and personality. Even though Bakugou was harsh and mean and many more bad things, people tended to miss the little but important things about him because of said qualities.

For example, you learned that Bakugou had a very... unique way of cheering people up. After having an another mental war with yourself about the way you performed at the practice for the day, you came to the conclusion that your performance was ‘bad’ -even though you managed to score up to top five in class- and that you were just a weakling like Bakugou had said and in the exact same moment you thought these things you found the said man in front of you, blocking your way and shouting at you as if he was angry about your performance but actually managing to compliment and give you hints about your weak points in a subtle but aggressive and brutal way??? You really weren’t sure but you were grateful. And thus began your ’non-friendship’ with the angry pomerian.

For Bakugou, it was the first time that he saw you fighting for real - which was at the USJ- that he started to admire you. Even though you acted all meek and shy at school and always hid behind Mina for protection, you were strong as hell when you wanted to be. Well, of course seeing your homeroom teacher almost beaten to death would stir something in you but damn. You literally snapped. Afterwards Bakugou payed just a little bit more attention to you and boom (sry not sry). He found the reason you acted like this. He speculated that you were bullied for having a quirk as yours. But why would you be bullied? You could easily kick people’s asses so why? It didn’t take Bakugou long to figure that out too.

You were too nice.

Your good-will and niceness shined even through your shy and timid tendencies. You were unbelievably nice to every-freaking-one.

Even Bakugou.

And he acted like a total asshole to you at the very start too.

That’s why it didn’t take long.

Mina and Kirishima was worried at first. It was obvious that you two liked each other but you two were also everything that the other was not. But that worry vanished easily when they saw the way you two looked at each other. And they also noticed something.

You guys balanced each other perfectly.

You guys fit so perfectly that it was ridiculous.

Now, Bakugou wasn’t an idiot. It was vey easy to understand what they were trying to do, and he was thankful -even though he would never admit it- that they gave him that chance. For Bakugou’s luck, you were too innocent to pick up on something  like this. So if he wanted to, he could back up, forget it and stuff but...

He really didn’t want to.

So he started to speak:

“Oi.”

Ok, maybe not the best but he was getting there. And it also seemed as your attention was on him now, which was good.

“I really ain’t in the mood for these little shits. You wanna have a good time with me or be stuck with babysitting them?” The answer was already obvious as she smiled at him. “ That would be nice, you should stop calling Mina-chan and the others ‘little shits’ and other names though...” and so you two got out of the mall to take a stroll around the town, just the two of you. “ Bakugou, can I ask you something?” your voice shook Bakugou out of the trance he was in while secretly watching your face and he hurried to fix his gaze somewhere else to not cause any suspicion.

“What do you want, Nuclear girl?” Oh, right. He sometimes called you that because you could technically use your quirk to do something like that but it was too risky so you passed up on it. He was still a little salty that you didn’t try as it seemed though.

“Do you think I am worthy of the things that I have?” Ahh, here you go again. Doubting yourself. But this time, you wouldn’t feel insecure anymore after Bakugou’s talk because he was gonna tell you just how amazing you were and all the things that you doubted about yourself. “ Do you really wanna hear what I think?” You nodded your head silently, watching him intently.

“I think that you are an absolute idiot.” You stopped at this. So you were right about yourself? So you didn’t deserve anything at all ? This school, These teacher, this family, Mina and the guys, Bakug- “OI! LISTEN TO ME UNTIL THE END YOU DAMN EXTRA WANNA BE!” Bakugou huffed with annoyance. He wasn’t annoyed at you, he was annoyed that he couldn’t explain himself right.

“ You go around kicking people’s asses like you are taking a god damn walk in the park and THEN you come and say stupid shit like ‘Am I strong?’. Well, guess what? YOU FUCKING ARE STRONG! More than most people. You aren’t a bad person either, heck! You are one of the best! Even I think that you are tolerable! Are you trying to say that I have shitty taste or something?!” “ Wait, no Bakugou that’s not what I-“ “DIDN’T I SAY JUST NOW TO LISTEN TO ME UNTIL THE END?!”

You just nodded, dazed.

“ You got nothing to worry about, got that?  You are the shitty girl I like, after all.”

Now that was unexpected.

“W-wha-?!”
“I like you, so be grateful and like me back, idiot.”

You stayed there for a moment, stunned. Then you smiled, a smile so bright that Bakugou had to squint his eyes a little.

“I don’t like you, Bakugou. Sorry.”

Well damn.

How was he supposed to answer to that? Does he play it off? Does he cry? ‘Cuz he does feel kind of sad right now because he was rejected just now and-

“I love you, Katsuki.”

Bakugou decided to cry anyway- don’t tell the others though- and just curse you until he accompanied you to your home.

You might or might not have kissed his cheek.

And he might or might not be smiling like a mad man right now.

Kirishima and Mina might or might not also be dead because of their teasing.
