Class Trial No. 3

SPOILERS EVERYWHERE

The class trial was soon reaching its end with Mikan being the main suspect. She had finally broke, her true colors revealing her as not only the Ultimate Nurse, but also as one of the Ultimate Despair. She confessed her true reasons for killing the musician and the dancer. They were murdered out of love. Even though she would love to be executed, she tried to defend herself. Why was this? Did she do it to make the trial more exciting? Did she do it because she still had some hope? Mikan thought that she was full of despair, and Junko was the only one who forgave her. She was wrong, oh so wrong. There was one more person in the room who forgave her. Not only that, they loved her.

The class trial soon ended. Mikan had killed Ibuki and Hiyoko, all under the influence of the Despair Disease. Everyone was shocked, shocked that Mikan Tsumiki, a wonderful and kind person, had killed two people.

They questioned her, and of course she answered them. She did it for her beloved. She stated her reasons. The ultimate nurse had regained her memories and found out the truth.

"I understand that I've done something unforgivable. But you know, but you know! To transcend all that is truly...what love is all about!" She exclaimed, her heart pounding as she said those words.

"I don't understand...what you're saying." Komaeda looked at her with confusion. The person he'd always desired to be with was about to die, and for a confusing reason.

"You don't understand?" She asked him in reply. "Is it because you don't have anyone to love?"

Suddenly, as if her words had done something, he started looking back on his past. His parents died when he was a small child. He just wandered through life with nothing to do. It was like she knew what happened to him as a small child. His face was an expression of shock. He loved her, he forgive her, but those words had changed him for a minute.

Why had she said that to him? Komaeda was a person Mikan wanted to be with. Was it because of her current condition? After telling the group some useful information, she walked to the door that would lead to her execution.

In her last minutes, she thought about him. All of a sudden, she didn't want to die. She wanted to get out of the hospital bed. Komaeda and Junko were her hope, and now she would leave one and join the other.
