Chapter 10 Breaking the Oath

Ven collapsed on the final stair, looking up at the ceiling and breathing hard. Xena lay next to him, her breathing even and the blood on her leg was still flowing.
The Chirithy and The Heartless regarded each other for a few minutes before dragging their masters forward and sliding the passage closed. Chirithy looked at Xena. "She's the one?" It asked.
Ven nodded. "Yes....And you'd better get Terra. Or.....one of the other masters...."
He closed his eyes and a few minutes latter, felt strong arms pick him up.

Xion felt Xena's head and dipped a cloth back into a bowl of cold water. The wound on her leg was bound up and the bleeding had slowed. She sighed and wrung the cloth out. "Well. This isn't how I wanted our meeting to go," she said softly. "But I'm really glad to met you. My name is Xion."
Xena breathed deeply and Xion heard a voice in her head. "Nice to met you Xion. I'm Xena. But I think Ven's already told you about me."
Xion looked around. "Not really," she whispered. "He never mentioned the marks on your arm."
"Those are marks that my brother made on both of us, it was supposed to be symbolic of our commit to the same side. But he's chosen one I don't want to walk."
Xion breathed out. "Wow. That sounds really familiar."
"I know. After all, we're both Nobodies with no Somebody. Well, you do. But you don't want to return to darkness and I never will. My Somebody and Heartless are dead. My bother I'm not sure of anymore."
Xion closed her eyes and felt a wave of anger and sadness wash over her. "Are these yours?" She asked, eyes still closed.
"Yes. And I'm sorry for putting them over you, but I need to rid myself of them. If it becomes too much, please let me know and I'll retract them,"
Xion opened her eyes and saw tears on Xena's face. "I don't understand," She continued. "What he meant by I'd been touched by Xehanort. I've never heard of him. But you have. Could you please open your mind to me?"
Xion nodded and closed her eyes again. Memories flooded past and Xion forced herself to ignore a few. "Thank you, Xion." Xena said. "I understand now."
*******************************
Roxas and Ven spared for a while, as Aqua, Terra, Axel, and Riku all discussed what to do now.
"So has Xena talked to you?" Roxas asked, blocking Ven.
"What?" Ven pulled away and charged again. "She's still asleep. How would she talk to me?"
"You know," Roxas said. "Mind to mind?" He fired light and dark at Ven, who rolled aside and fired his own Fire at Roxas. "No. Has she done it to you?" Ven asked.
"No. But she's talked with Xion a few times." Roxas said, firing a Blizzard.
Ven was now frozen in ice and frowned. "Huh."
Axel walked in and thawed Ven. "Guys. We're ready."

Xion was waiting in Xena's room. "Alright," Aqua said. "Ven. We've decided to stop speed training  you and instead train you with Xena."
Ven nodded. "Right." He'd kind of expected this.
"But we discovered that Xeno broke the Masters Oath when he attacked Xena," Terra explained. "That means the oath no longer has any hold on Xena. She is completely free."
Riku nodded. "There's only one thing left. Ven," Ven looked at him. "Xena hasn't woken up from her brothers attack."
Axel took over. "We need your Keyblade to wake her up."
Ven summoned Wayward Wind. "I'm ready."
Axel, Riku, Aqua, and Terra summoned their Keyblades and pointed them at Xena. Axel looked at Roxas, who looked at Xion. "She's ready," Xion reported. "She can't wait to met all of us in person."
Ven watched everyone send a stream of magic at Xena before shooting his own beam, golden where the rest were silver.
The beams vanished and she opened her eyes. "Hello. It's nice to met all of you."

Aqua examined Xena. "You look okay to me," She said. "We can't do anything about your cuts but they might heal on their own now that the Masters Oath is over."
Xena nodded. "I know. And thank you for all your help. The Waking, the training, even the offer to help me find and free my brother."
Aqua nodded. "Of course. You'd do the same for any of us." Standing up, Aqua extended a hand. "Let's go tell everyone your good."
Xena took the offered hand and fallowed Aqua out of the room.
Ven was waiting and looked up as they stepped out. Xena let go of Aqua's hand and walked over to him. "Hey Ventus," she said. "It's nice to met you in person and not memory."
   Ven smiled. "Me too."
