The Flame Returns

I smiled sadly as I stood on my balcony, overlooking the streets and buildings of Titus.
It's funny how similar Olympus and Titus are, even though they are worlds apart.

Well not anymore at least.

Olympus is gone. The monsterous Titans destroyed it.

I sighed and tried to push the thought into the back of my mind, however it still lingered. Instead, I attempted to think of happy thoughts - like the fact that Emily is still alive.

When we all heard the news that the Big Three, Riza and The Titans were turning the solar stream on Olympus, we all went balistic trying to convince them to tell Emily that its a death sentence.

Riza informed us that she told her that she would teleport out as soon as the Solar Stream hits.

When we found out that she didnt, well, we all went to one conclusion,

The Flame of Olymus was dead.

We grieved and cried, saddened that our best friend was gone.

Only a couple days later however, Riza visited us quickly to tell us that her father saved her and that she is very much alive.

We cried again, but happy and joyful tears this time.

That was a week ago now, and we are all still awaiting Emily and Pegasus's arrival.

I smiled, knowing that she would return any day now.

My smile soon faded when my mind reminded me that my brothers were missing.

I felt a twinge of pain inside of me.

Ive been trying to contact them ever since Olympus was destroyed, to no avail.

Its worrying, as I know Loki always answers my calls.

I say calls, I really mean my illusions.

Mother and Loki tought me how to do them, and Ive been using them ever since.

He wouldnt just be ignoring me, would he?

I shook my head. No he wouldnt, stop saying that Neki, you know that.

I gave one last look outside, and Im glad I did, otherwise I wouldnt have seen the solar stream open, to reaveal Pegasus.

I stood there, shocked.

Emily has returned.

"Oh my gosh" I whispered, boucing for joy.

I ran out of my room, only to bump into Paelen.

"Emily is back!" He exclaimed, excited as I am.

I nodded, "I know!"

Paelen grinned, grabbed my hand and ran back through the palace, leading me behind him.

We exited out the front of the palace, and Paelen lead me to where Emily and Pegasus were.

She and Pegasus landed in the middle of town, so there was a massive crowd surrounding them.

The Titans know Emily saved them and wanted to show their gratitude, and the Olympians wanted to see their flame and saviour again.

I could see Pegasus's head bobbing above the crowd, when his glistening black eyes caught mine.

"Neki!" I heard Pegasus say.

"Pegasus!"

Paelen lead me through the crowd of Titans and Olympians, when we finally broke free and saw Emily standing there next to Pegasus.

Joel and Chrysoar were already there, along woth Steve, Diana, Jupiter and his brothers.

"Emily!" Paelen smiled, running up to Emily and hugging her.

"Paelen! I can't- breathe!" Emily laughed. Paelen let her go.

"How dare you frighten me like that!" He said, a slight smile on his face. "Never do that again!"

Emily laughed, "Ok Paelen"

Emily stopped laughing and looked over Paelens shoulder to see me standing there.

"Neki!" She said, running up to me and hugging me.

I embrace her, a massive grin on my face.

"Im so glad you are alright!" I exclaimed, squeezing her slightly.

She chuckled. "Me too!"

Em let go of me, and smiled.

I walked up to Pegasus and stroked his neck.

"How are you Pegasus?" I asked, grinning.

"Im wonderful! Especially now that Emily can understand me!"

I gasped and looked to Emily. She nodded.

"Thats awesome!" I cried, embracing my friend once more.

"I know! And I can understand Chrysoar too!"

I let her go. "How?" I questioned.

Emily smiled at me and at everyone else.

"Im now a full Xan!"

Everyones mouths hung open.

"Really?" Diana asked.

Em nodded. "Rizas father made me a full Xan in order to live."

Jupiter put a hand on Emilys shoulder.

"Im sure we all have a lot of questions for Emily, and Im sure she has a lot to tell us. Thats why we have prepared a banquet in her honour" Jupiter announced.

Emily looked stunned.

Jupiter winked at her.

"Come everyone the food isnt going to eat itself!"
