chapter 5-fight!

Archie's P.O.V
As I walk in to class I cant seem to forget the girl I saw she was different. A northsider but different. I just I couldn't put my finger on it.As like it was a movie the girl waltzed in to the class with her boyfriend and the popular people one of them being jugheads girlfriend interesting.

As every one was seated the teacher asked the new students to introduce themself.so I got up from my desck and walked slowly to the front of the room along with jughead and the other serpents.
"I'm archie jones"i say
"I'm jughead jones"jughead says in a pissed of voice
"So that's who you are the your the two who murdered Jason blossom"reggie said with confidence in his voice
"What do you even mean I thought Bulldogs were smart"i say sarcastically "no arch Bulldogs have one brain cell between them"jug says
"Shut up you no good snake"reggie replies
"Oh I am scared"i say in a cocky voice
Then they start barking at us
"Bit wierd not gonna lie"i say as I make my way back to my seat.

At the end of the lesson i go to walk out and finally get out of the disaster people call English but i am pushed before I can make my way out of the class room.I shoot up and look who had just shoved me and to no surprise it is the ringleader of the Bulldogs "hi greasy what do you want"i say in an annoying tone I heard the Bulldogs snicker at my sly comment this only pissed him of beyond belief as he swang at me.I quickly moved out of the way.His fist ended up in the wall making a wise choice I punched his stomach making him groan.Then I pushed him of me and ran like the wind no way was I getting in a fight on my first day not after this morning at least. I am a serpent but not by choice.

As I ran I tripped and bumped in to a random girl as I slowly lifted my head I saw her the girl I saw this morning, "I am so sorry"she says a bit flustered
"It's fine my fault anyway"i chuckle "veronica Gomez"she says leaning in for a hand shake "archie jones"
"I know I am in your class nice music book by the way" we both laugh bit. then I hear kids yelling all down the hallway and realise the Bulldogs are there and are running straight for me "nice meeting you but I gotta scram"i yell while running of I hear her laugh God is there any think about this girl that ain't perfect.

At the end of day
I am casually strolling when I hear a voice from behind me and in an instant I knew it was that jock who I had now learnt was reggie mantle most popular boy dating the most popular girl veronica Gomez the girl I liked not liked just the girl I wanted to talk to all the time ok so maybe I like her but as i said it could never happen because i am a serpent and she is also dating a 6 foot dickhead.
"Oh you!"he shouted
"Ya"i reply quickly
"Why are you flirting with my girlfriend she's mine no one else's I am the only one who is allowed to talk to her got it"he yells at my face
"Seems like some has trust issues"i say in a silly voice
" That's it"he growls he grips the top of my collar and pins me up against a car "you thing I have issues you think you can waltz on in to my school and take my girlfriend"
"Yes and no"i say with little interest.
Just then he punched my face he hit me again this kept going on entil shoved him of me I was getting bored. As I came up I saw the whole school watching us. "maybe they are right when they say northsiders are crazier than us Southsiders"i say he goes to punch again as the crowd start to yell "fight"people could probably hear them from greendale.I decided that I would fight back this time.I punched his jaw leaving it dripping with blood the fight continued entil jughead came and ripped us of eachother with reggie falling in the process he got up as quickly as he fell and brushed himself of he huffed and walked of grabbing veronica in a harsh way but that's not what stood out to me it was Veronica's facial expression she looked emotional drained.

Later that day
I could not for the love of God get veronica of my mind. I had to as my dad would be home in 5 minutes and I have to talk about becoming the serpent king aswell as doing my first task to become my painted alto ego. could I do it with all this on my mind no was the answer I had no choice.after a few minutes had passed my father came barged into are trailer drunk to me and jugheads disappoint.

"boys get out of my sight now!"he slurred chucking a bottle at us I would love to say I had hope in him but I simply dont he is a dead beat dad.Who does not care about me or jughead,this is why our mum and jellybean left.I wish she took me a jug to."you are just like you father" I whispered under my breath

What did you say?!"he shouts
"I said you are just like you dad"i shout back with that he makes his way to me in a aggressive manor and hits me making my cut from earlier open up.This was normal routine by now.i just wipe of the blood and stormed out of the trailer and headed to pops.my one safe space.as when I approached pops I came to realise veronica was in a booth crying on her own.She still looked perfect as always. I have become a softie.my question was though why was she crying and could I help?

Sorry for not posting all day it is my last week of school before half term which means i have alot of test so i have had to revise i will try post more though.
