chapter 6- it was him

Veronica's P.O.V
English my favourite subject entil I found out reggie was in my class.
I mean he is my boyfriend but a shit one at that, I just I've hated school ever since I started dating reggie.

reggie had changed the last few months he became more cocky and confident if possible.He was only like this because of Jason's death,everyone kept saying it  was the serpents fault. but was i cant see that being true,I have met jughead and the boy earlier but they both seemed  like  lovers not a fighters.We just have a corrupt society.

riverdale only has a glimmer of hope left entil the great divide that my father created becomes permanent. But what makes it worse is that one, my year group is deeply agree with the divide and my boyfriend preys that the serpents did do it.As that would be the last straw. no northsider or Southsider would be able to look or talk to one another.

The only reason I am with reggie is to get away from my car crash of a life aka my father .as my English class started I was sat next to Betty this made me more than excited but I also  caught of a glimpse of the ginger juidis I saw earlier.I had no chance of speaking to him since my boyfriend started to attack the serpents causing and argument to break out between the two sides. In my opinion they were all acting like 5 year.

I just wanted to get out of this class as reggie kept staring at me (it made me feel uncomfortable).So I spent the whole lesson staring at the clock entil finally we got to leave.As I made my way down the hall way full of my fellow students i bumped into  someone.

I shyly raised my head only to revel the boy I had been thinking about l day."Im so sorry" I say a bit flustered
"Its fine my fault anyway"he chuckles
"Veronica Gomez"i say leaning in for a hand shake
"Archie jones"
"I know you're in my class,nice music book by the way"we both laugh
Just then yelling starts to come from the end of the hallways it was only reggie mantle and his goons.

They looked mad "nice meeting you but I gotta scram"he yells while running of I just chuckle."hey babe why was that serpent talking to you" reggie says trying to act nice
"We bumped into eachother he was just being polite"i say in my defense
"He was flirting with you"reggie angrily says " gunna kill him".
"No that's not what I said he was being polite that all"i say half yelling as reggie walked of as I was speaking.
I tried to chase after him but I later stopped cause I noticed every one staring and judging as per usual hopefully archie can run fast.

After school:
As I was walking out of school I saw reggie he was burning with rage
He was heading straight im the direction of archie.I ran over and got caught up in the crowd that had huddled around both boys so I had no chance of seeing who was winning all I could see was that back of peoples heads and the students screaming "fight!".

I used all my strength to push to the front but by that time archie and reggie had been pulled away from one another by jughead.All of the sudden in a flash reggies arm was around me as he dragged me to his car. Before we left I got one last look at archie he looked worried was it the fight no he's a serpent that would not worry him.

"Why"reggie shouts
"Why what"i snapped
He grabbed my wrist and said "why are you flirting with that scum that people call a serpent,He is a piece of shit".Like you then I thought in my head but if I said that I would be the dead one."If you had listened earlier I would have told you that we bumped into each other then we both said sorry ,conversation over"
"Sure"the word that reggie always said he always had to have the control. When me and reggie started to dating it was all good,I actually fell for him he was just everything you could want in a guy but he had two sides like Jekyll and hyde.

One moment happy and romantic the next he would swear at me and hit me.i never said anything I was simply to scared he had stole alot from my old bubble self who would always smiling to my appearance I used to wear nice clothes that showed nothing but now I dressed like a slut due to reggie. to add to all of this he took my v card I trusted this guy with my heart but he turned out to be evil.I should have just listened to my mum and Betty.

But no I listened to satin himself my father who I had no clue was paying reggie to be with me.they both still though I didn't know.Reggie took alot from me but not my brains.

As we pulled up to the pembroke reggie left in his car. I walked into my house and heard my mum and dad screaming
"NO HIRAM I WILL NOT LET YOU USE OUR DAUGHTER YES OUR DAUGHTER IN YOUR STUPID BUSINESS, SHE IS BROKEN BECAUSE OF YOU SO I BEG YOU HIRAM LEAVE HER OUT OF THIS"my mum shouted
"I DONT CARE HIMONE IF WE WANT  THIS PLAN TO WORK SHE IS GETTING INVOLE WE WILL TELL HER ABOUT US BUYING POPS AND THE REGISTER SOON ok I love you my dear remember lodges are always right"
"I know I know" my mum shyly replied at fear my dad would hurt her.
I couldn't hold it in anymore I burst in to tears and I just ran to my one safe space.pops. well it would not be here for long as I have no clue what my father is going to do with it. As I walk in I drop into a booth and I start to cry and let all my emotions go entil I hear the bell ring it was him.
it was archie.
