Monday

As the weekend passed I found myself waking up at Ryan's house again, I spent the whole weekend there. I decided it was time to go back to my apartment. I gave Ryan a kiss and told him I would let him know when I made it home. I stopped on the way home to get a Carmel frappe from
McDonald's and a hash brown, courtesy of Ryan of course. I live about 20 minutes away from Ryan's house and I missed him already but was happy to be in my own space. As I walked up to the stairs I saw a note on my door and some flowers. "Crap did I forget to pay rent?" I said aloud to myself. After getting closer I see it's got my name written on it.

"Hadley,

I love you so much thank you for spending the weekend with me. Please consider what we discussed. With all my heart -Ryan<3"

Awe he is so sweet... maybe I need to just give it a chance. What's the worst that could happen?

'Ding' I look down at my phone to see Anna Grace has texted me.
AG-"Bitchhhhhhhh what are you doing"
Me- "just got home what about you?"
AG-"have you checked snap chat today? Melissa posted snaps at Ryan's house"
Me- "you're kidding me. Come over"
AG- "I'm already in the parking lot unlock the door"

Not even two minutes later Anna Grace comes barging in. "I think I fucked up" she says "I went to Jared's house Friday night and I spent the entire weekend with him. Not just one night like usual, the entire weekend Hadley!" For Anna Grace that is out of the ordinary she's usually out five minutes after it's done. "Hadley this is serious, it felt different this time. He and I have been texting more and it wasn't the one night stand situation like normal. It was passionate and hot and I had butterflies during it. What the fuck is this." Anna Grace and Jared have been sleeping with each other since she was a freshman, he's a senior just like Ryan. "Anna Grace you caught feelings for someone!" I jokingly exclaimed. She gave me the stankiest stank eye I've ever seen her give.

"Okay let's see these snaps" I said. Anna Grace shows me her phone and I see Melissa standing outside Ryan's house next to MY car with a gun in her hand. I thought to myself, what the fuck, and screen shorter every picture and sent them to my phone. I am about fed up with this bitch.

"Shit! It's 10 we gotta get to class!!" Anna Grace says frantically. I threw on some sweats and one of Ryan's t-shirts that I cut into a crop top, slid on my nikes and we were out the door. On the way to class I silently thought to myself, "why would she be out at his house so late and with a gun? How did she get past the guards? Should I be worried Ryan might be in danger?" We come to a halt at Starbucks, I guess since we're already late might as well get coffee and breakfast.

'Ding ding'
I look down and see Ryan texted me
Ryan- "did you see it"
Me- "Melissa at your house last night with a gun, yeah. Saw it. Not happy about it"
Ryan-"Hadley, she wasn't alone... there were two others. If you look deeper in the picture you'll see two tall dark figures in the reflection of your car with knives. They tied the guards up and took the keys to the other gate to get in. I'm having new gates installed as we speak as well as an upgraded security system for both my house and your apartment."
Me -"...I'm scared.."
Ryan-"I know. Me too. Come to the house after class, you'll be safer here and I will feel better knowing you're here"
Me-"okay see you then"

I told Anna Grace to turn the car around and tell the professor I was sick with the flu. I also sent an email to the professor and let him know Anna Grace went to pick stuff up for me. He replied very quickly...
"Miss Baker,
I will allow this and not count her tardy. I will give her your assignments for the next few days. Please don't come in until you are 100% again. Get well soon.

Professor Moss"

He is my favorite professor.
After we got back to my apartment Anna Grace went back to class. I tried to call Ryan but he didn't pick up, so I left a voicemail. "Hey, I'm totally weirded out by all of this and skipped class today. I'm going to do somethings around my apartment and then I'll come by later. Love you, talk to you soon."

I walked to my bathroom to get a fix my hair and throw a face mask on. Ugh. I need a shower, I'll take one before I go to Ryan's. My apartment was a mess. Movies all over the floor, dishes in the sink, laundry piled up and all over my bedroom and living room. And the apartment stank from the trash not being taken out. I wasn't a slob, but I had been spending a lot of time at Ryan's house.

It's been 2 hours since I left that voicemail for Ryan. He doesn't have class today, maybe he's sleeping? I tried to call him again, still no answer. Guess I'll just head over there.

Buzz buzz
Ryan-hey sorry I just woke up
Me- couldn't have called back? Lol not want me to hear someone's voice?
Ryan- shut up, are you coming over or nah? I got some pancakes with your name written on them.
Me -OMW!

Ugh, he knows the way to my heart. As I stepped outside I noticed a note on my car.

"Leave him or die, we're watching you"

Well, just when I thought things couldn't get any creepier. I scanned my surroundings and noticed a car that I hadn't seen before. As I started walking towards it, it sped away. Could that have been who put this note on my car?
